in the UK every1 likes first party nintendo stuff so thats nice. but if you do find an otaku its like senran kagura and poo poo. i never found a single other person who played smt iv. so i doubt i will have any luck with dragon quest 7

Man.. I just don't know. Maybe it's because my time is limited to weekend gaming, or a combination of things.. but.. I really want to like this game more than I actually do. It's hard for me to say that.. but it's true. I fully expect things to pick up once I unlock Alltrades Abbey but I feel like I've been reading this crappy robot story for 9 hours. I like that each island has its own little story but this one is especially long and grating on me. The camera is too zoomed in as well, and the menus are terrible.
I'm bummed out.

I'm playing DQ8 for the first time because of the 3DS version and it's extremely warm and cozy. I'm into the second half (I guess? Just unlocked the casino) of the story and am enjoying just being able to go wherever I want and take photos, collect monsters and medals, grind slimes and make loads of money. It's a good chill time.
