Post-grunge became popular in the 1990s and continued being popular in the 2000s. Post-grunge bands such as Foo Fighters, Puddle of Mudd, Staind, Nickelback, Creed and Matchbox Twenty all achieved mainstream success." I swore for the last 15 years that this was Third Eye Blind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIANBamMgas Although now listening to it, it could be Silverchair or whatever else It's big business to make one off bands that sound exactly like popular bands. Yesterday, Sirius radio played Oasis - Don't Go Away and Lifehouse - Whatever It Takes back to back, I think they were trolling me. I kinda liked Pearl Jam when I was a kid, I dunno. I tried to listening to it now and its pretty bad. I got to meet Eddie Veder once and he was a very solid dude. He might be dumb or whatever, but he's cool. As much as I wanna poo poo on that band, I can't because he was pretty gracious. edit: Lol I forgot that song Better Man even existed. gently caress Pearl Jam.

Dyna Soar posted:eh, that would put a whole lot of bands that didn't have much to do with the seattle / olympia scene as grunge. i always thought of it was a geographical thing, a relatively small number of bands playing with each other and influencing each other before the whole thing imploding in the early 90s thanks to heroin and selling out. Grunge is a marketing term much more than a musical one.
