I was just listening to Abe Lincoln's Top Hat, and they have on Ed Larson, one of the cowriters of the roast jokes. He was saying that Ann Coulter really could have done a good job if she had just loosened up, rolled with the punches, and read the jokes that the writers made for her. As is, it was another poor performance from somebody who is nearly nationally reviled.
