I thought the Square reader used Bluetooth and the headphone jack was just a holder for the device but nope that's how it communicates with the device like it's a loving dialup modern

it basically is like a dialup modem which is great because it works with literally any smartphone or tablet or your computer like even one ten years old

Apple is literally allergic to technology standards, every single thing they use has to be their own proprietary poo poo so they can control and profit from every aspect of every device that works with their technology provide the best experience to the end user

also allergic to paying taxes apparently

remember when they testified in front of congress and said that they don't pay taxes because tax code is complicated and they believe in simplicity of design

Ok, i guess the "thin" thing was just something the collective hivemind assumed then since "the iphone 7 is super super thin!" or something. (It isn't.)

it was the assumption apologists made cause it'd be a trade-off instead of literally just "we removed this for no benefit"

oh christ why is the charging port on the only surface of the mouse that makes it totally unusable while charging

why did they do this

it used to be on the front of the mouse but then people would use it while it was plugged in and they wanted it to be wireless all the time

thats the actual for real reason, they said so

The tree structure start menu was dogshit and you'd always be looking for a program and then not finding it and then realizing it was hidden somewhere in the tree under its publishers name and then you don't remember what that was so you're hunting through random publisher names hoping to see it and yeah dogshit. Now you just type two letters of the name of thing you want and there it is.

actually you type two letters of the thing you want and it brings up internet explorer searching for it because they put internet searches in the same thing as programs and also you can't change it from using MICROSOFT EDGE for searching there either
