100 HOGS AGREE posted:my ideal computer is one that gives off no light or noise and the only indication it's actually working is things show up on the monitor You can get some really snazzy fanless systems if you look hard enough, I have this old ION board that is completely silent and tiny  It even includes its own 19V power brick so you don't need a regular ATX power supply. Used it as a media centre before, now it handles home automation mostly.
