The first, even overall, impression I get from the post is that it's a gaming podcast. But the twist is that some is playing a game at the same time just to make you look at the screen and not have the viewer just run in the background as they do other things. Doesn't feel to me like anything is really gained from having that footage and not just replaced with a static logo or image. It really doesn't feel like a thing that fits the LP subforum. I mean there is Rapidly Going Deaf for that otherwise.

Funny enough while my gateway into SA forums was via the Play by Post subforum it was the LP section that made me into a more active poster. Can't remember what actually got me into that part but I do have vague recollections of knowing about the frontpage way before I knew there was even a forum. In hindsight the best  I've ever spent so far.

I ended up absolutely hating the System Shock 2 LP I started elsewhere and then brought over here and finished to the point I deleted all the footage both on my drives and online. Everything about it was awful from the commentary to how I played it. In hindsight a lot of the commentary I made for my Halo and HAWX LPs was pretty poo poo as well and a bunch that is really insensitive as well. Far too reactionary and far too much useless chaff. Also find something less copyrighted to cover up the lacklustre soundtrack. If I ever do Halo 3 now that MCC for PC is a thing that exists I might just go with as little commentary as possible or something.

Yeah I bounced off hard from when I tried Avisynth ages ago. I did pretty much all of my editing with Premiere CS3 back then and even then I really didn't do anything hyper advanced. I think the hardest stuff I did was the fast forward stuff. The HAWX LPs did let me tinker around a little with After Effects for the intro logos. That was fun.

In my case I'd have to say either the Rio de Janeiro mission from HAWX 1 and the Maelstrom mission from HAWX 2. The commentary isn't much to write home about but I feel like the music picks were really great.

Huh, you're right. Before most of my HAWX videos were blocked pretty much everywhere and now only one is blocked in Syria, Cuba, North Korea and Iran. Barring the ones that used music by AC/DC because they got super blocked. Which is an interesting discovery and an opportunity to see what "Mute offending song only" option does with the video.
