So if a thread that hasn't been posted to in a couple months on page 10-15ish is "locked for archiving", can a mod be asked to unlock it, or is it too late?

Man I didn't realize the cutoff was so soon recently. Then again I didn't realize this sort of locking didn't "fade out" the thread entry like a normal lock does, so I guess maybe its always been like this.  I guess I could do a new thread, but I think it'd feel weird, given there was a decent bit of viewer involvement.
