With love it's easy to see that Rosa made a second one for Maria because she felt terrible about tearing apart the first. She probably just forgot it on the boat, or maybe left it as a surprise for Maria to find on the return trip.

^ or this the idea of the mansion being destroyed by a bomb came up earlier as an explanation for why it might have been difficult for the police to investigate, the "chewed to pieces by demons" deaths, and for why the game has been so vague about the state of the mansion in Ange's time. if it were set on a timer by someone else that would count as murder i think. the question is who set it.
