Why do these jerks deserve a thread?

Freep's a special little place in the pile of poo poo known as the far right. It's a gathering place for conservative thought except it's really not a place for thought. They subscribe to the form of conservative thought that conservatism cannot fail and all the ills in the world are because of global marxist liberalist elitisms. All bad people are liberals and all good people are conservatives. Republican rapes kids and covers it up? Nope liberal sorry! Eight years of the first islamofacist black president has not done well for their aging population, either. They possess incredibly religious zealotry for Supply Side Jesus who hates gays, blacks, single women, etc.

It's ruled by JimRob, a decrepit scam artist that somehow gets people to donate to his site that he claims costs like 500k/yr to run or some poo poo. In reality it's just a way to funnel social security checks into his family coffers. He rules over Freep with an Iron Rascal. Ultimately, he decides what's conservative and what's not. That's OK because Freepers are secretly authoritarians and love being told what to think. JimRob zots (bans) anyone who disagrees with him. During the GOP primaries, he picks a candidate and it becomes illegal to talk bad about them. Anyone who does gets told they're a troll and zotted away. As a result, the Freep numbers have slowly dwindled and their hatred distilled into pure rage.

So basically Freep's an echo chamber of right wing think that's unparalleled in its putrid filth. We regular readers of the thread enjoy it so much because they're so disconnected with reality it's hilarious. They also freak the gently caress out when good things happen to America.

Alright this thread's for entertainment purposes only. Do not get worked up over these gently caress stains. They're old twats dying a lonely, miserable death. Frequently during the holidays we'll drudge up posts about how they've cut out family members that do not agree with their brand of conservative. In reality, their family probably just stopped visiting so they don't have to hear OBAMA SECRET MUSLIM COMMIE anymore.

It's considered good form to post a link to the Freep thread you mine from. Older quotes that does not apply to since their site is garbage and mining quotes using their search sucks. Screen grabs are OK too.

The problem of a porous border that allows anyone to cross into the United States without any real resistance is obvious. I have seen the efforts to build a “fence.” What a waste of government money and time. A fence, ANY fence is only an obstacle for the one or two feet needed to get from one side to the other, by either going over, under, around or through the thin barrier. Regardless of what is built, it offers resistance ONLY at the point an illegal border crosser encounters the fence. Once across, their journey is again relatively effortless.

I watched a video where a man was talking about RETREATING 50 or 100 miles into America to escape the violence of the drug lords! If we are considering giving up a 100-mile wide strip of America, we can certainly dedicate a two or three mile strip of our border real estate to this idea!

I sent a letter to Sheriff Joe Arpaio some time ago, as well as a copy of this letter to Sheriff Arvin West of Texas, the New Mexico Sheriffs' and Police Association and the Sheriffs Association of Texas, illustrating my idea to use discarded tires to build a huge WALL along the border. This country has literally billions of discarded tires piled up around America, and we discard another 240 MILLION tires annually. These tire piles are always seen as a “problem.” I see them as not only a solution, but the BEST SOLUTION to the border problem!

I know that there are some problems inherent in the existence of a tire pile, but they are certainly no greater than the problems we are currently facing with countless deaths, kidnappings, drug smuggling, and everything else that is a REALITY given the pathetic excuse for a “fence” we now have and will never complete.

Imagine a wall of discarded tires along the border, two or three miles in width and 100 feet above ground level. Consider carefully the enclosed photos as you read further.

Before you summarily reject this concept, consider for a moment the FOLLOWING points.

* NO ONE can RUN across a tire pile. It is physically impossible! The tires will tip and roll, catch feet and collapse under the weight of any passersby. Anyone crossing something like this can easily be spotted and captured, using modified 4WD vehicles that use track systems similar to tanks or snow cats rather than conventional tires to drive over the pile as needed.

* The construction of a tire pile requires NO engineering, NO structural framework, and NO special equipment. Simply piling tires onto tires will eventually build a magnificent wall that is not one or two feet thick, but one or two MILES thick. Where the wall needs to be taller, simply add more tires.

* Tunneling can be eliminated if a trench is dug first, say … 50 feet deep. Fill the two-mile wide trench with tires, and then keep piling them up until the wall is sufficient to discourage even the most determined illegal border crosser.

* A wall of tires does not need to be maintained, painted, or repaired. There is no need for welders, painters, stone masons or carpenters. Even PRISONERS can loosely pile tires effectively! Vandalism to the wall by the illegals would not matter.

* Graffiti could be completely ignored, and would be little more than colorful spots along the wall of tires which would have NO flat surface for tagging.

* A wall that is impervious to damage and decay. If gunfire erupts, should the border patrol agents miss their target, the only thing they will hit … is a pile of TIRES.

* The pest “problem.” Tire piles retain rain water. They are normally seen as undesirable because they create breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Normally this would be a problem, but I see a two-mile wide tire wall infested with mosquitoes as a good deterrent to crossing over it, don’t you? Mosquito abatement can commence on the American side of the wall or by crop dusting the length of the wall if needed.

* Nature’s border guards. The wall could be populated with mice, rats and venomous snakes. The mice and rats would feed the snakes, and the illegals that still ignore our sovereignty and attempt unsuccessfully to cross over the wall will feed the snakes.

* FREE building materials! I am certain that if you call the governors of the other 49 states and tell them that you want all of their discarded tires, you will discover that they will be more than happy to gather up every tire pile within their state lines and transport them at their cost to our southern border, where you can arrange to distribute them as needed. They should not be stacked or neatly arranged. They should be randomly piled, as if dropped from the sky. This will make them far more difficult to cross on foot.

What about TIRE FIRES? Certainly, those wishing to cross our border illegally will try to wreak havoc by setting the tires on fire. That’s okay. A system can be devised using existing technology, so that these fires can be extinguished effectively wherever they are started. The foaming machines used at airports for fire resistance can be modified to belch out millions of cubic yards of an inert fire retardant where needed. Remember the volcano experiments from grammar school? Vinegar and baking soda create a very large quantity of liquid foam, very quickly. Machines capable of smothering large tire fires using a similar mixture of an environmentally friendly foam would work well.

We also have all of the water from the Colorado River that reaches the border! Now, I know there is some silly ‘treaty’ that demands a certain amount of water be allowed to flow beyond our southern border in Mexico for their farming and ranching needs, and I am all for allowing that to continue on one condition. If the Mexicans are going to set the tire wall on fire, well gosh … I guess ALL of that water will have to be diverted to the fire through a piping system built along the American side to fight the fire. We would send a very clear message to the Mexican citizens. If you want OUR water, stop igniting OUR tires! When their crops begin to die, and they are all suffering from dehydration due to the water source from the Colorado River being diverted to reservoirs along the American border for fire fighting purposes, they will begin to understand the value of allowing the tire wall to exist undisturbed. If they complain about the water being shut off, tell them to stop invading our country!

You may be laughing. I am not. The problem of the illegal Mexicans crossing onto American soil is monumental. It is destroying our schools, our neighborhoods, our hospitals and our workforce. All of the “feel good” talk and toothless measures coming from the federal government are worthless. It is abundantly clear that the federal government has NO interest in controlling our border.

Unless you can come up with a better plan, a way to build a wall that can be built by people with NO construction skills, using FREE materials that require NO maintenance, that offers a formidable barrier that would challenge even the toughest U.S. Marine, I suggest you start piling tires along the border A.S.A.P. and finally put a stop to the problem of illegal aliens in America.

Now it is clear more than ever that the Federal Government needs to be checked BY THE PEOPLE AND THE STATES.

Neither morality nor common sense can be 'legislated' via Congress ***effectively***. It just cannot be done adequately.

Article V

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.

To understand what must NOW be done will require us to think deep and to think of something that as Mark Levin says “is a solution as big as the problem” meaning a solution that gets its hands around the ‘whole problem’. And it has to be quick because time is of the essence.

We should first take note to understand the following:

(1) It takes 3/4’s of states presently equal to 38 states to ratify a proposed amendment to the US Constitution thereby making the amendment a part of the US Constitution.

(2) THE MAIN REALITY: THE STATES HAVE NO POWER BEFORE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

Now some may think ... “but Congress can amend the Constitution”. Think about this. Will the present makeup of Congress amend anything to express the Will of the People? The answer is absolutely not, they won’t even get it into a committee.

Think about it some more in terms of the 10th Amendment. Is the 10th Amendment respected, observed, utilized? No, it is not. It has been subordinated by other amendments or ignored altogether.

Repeat the main reality:

THE STATES HAVE NO POWER BEFORE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

Understand why is this. Understand how this happened.

This lack of power is actually a loss of power as a direct result of the 17th Amendment extinguishing the power of state legislatures before Congress.

NOTE: the 16th, 17th and 18th Amendments were all from the year 1913. They were all a stain on the US Constitution and serve as a clear illustration of how ‘knee-jerk’ reactions to problems and conflicts of the day result in disaster. We must avoid these types of 'knee-jerk' mistakes by ensuring our amendment is both broad and specific AND IN THE SPIRIT OF THE FOUNDERS.

THEREFORE, if WE THE PEOPLE through our state legislatures are to consider amending our US Constitution by asserting Article V, then we must be very careful, very thorough, and we must understand the CORE OF THE PROBLEM. We must not be 'all over the map'. We must be united. In all likelihood we only get one shot at this in our lifetime.

The root of the problem is the 17th Amendment. We can propose to repeal it and some very respected FREEPERS advocate for doing just that. But in my opinion repealing the 17th Amendment takes too long and is not necessary to solve the problem. Also the 17th is laden with emotional symbolism because it gave a power to vote to the people. In effect, to repeal it will launch a debate and war in society that will end up following so many directions that it will smother the entire reason of why we needed to do it in the first place; we risk the reason for the repeal to getting lost in the noise and being forgotten.

Let’s look at the problem from a slightly different angle. If we can’t get at the root of the problem, can we get at the core of the problem?

The answer is yes.

An illustration is needed that shows how the power of Article V can be unlocked by the States to restore federalism thereby restoring our liberty and saving our Republic. Note this illustration condenses several of Mark Levin’s suggested Liberty Amendments and incorporates valuable input from concerned Freepers.

To redress the balance of powers between the federal government and the states and to restore effective suffrage of state legislatures to Congress, the following amendment is proposed:

Section 1. A Senator in Congress shall be subject to recall by their respective state legislature or by voter referendum in their respective state.

Section 2. Term limits for Senators in Congress shall be set by vote in their respective state legislatures but in no case shall be set less than twelve years nor more than eighteen years.

Section 3. Upon a majority vote in three-fifths of state legislatures, specific federal statutes, specific federal court decisions and specific executive directives of any form shall be repealed and made void. ************************************************

Section 3 of the above illustration puts an end to the social tyranny of the federal government. The 28th Amendment can survive as a predominant amendment of the US Constitution when voters and state legislatures unite to fight together.

Hillary getting elected is basically the same as a 3rd Obama term and having the first non-white president followed directly by the first non-man president is going to break a lot of them.
