I agree, I'm just pointing out that the whole "everyone dislikes them" thing only holds true for certain values of "everyone". they will all eventually abandon democracy at some point regardless, not necessarily for anything related to this issue I would also point out that Jews were openly reviled by just about everyone around us for thousands of years, but now we're running a lot of poo poo, and that's without even having a big population
