Why didn't it work? I'm not trying to be a smart rear end, I'm genuinely curious. I've seen it happen on one other website one time, and it worked, the attack lasted for like 3 days and that CloudFlare redirect would come up, and after like 5 seconds it redirected and the site came up. Why didn't it work for Lowtax?  Curious. Also I'm assuming the attack was probably from that Dare crazy dude or whoever/whatever the gently caress he is?

phone posting so I can't look it up, but cloudflare is a reverse proxy meaning they relay requests to a specific site for that site. but it's all DNS based, and it isn't hard to get the SA server IPs, so it's easy to bypass CloudFlare the DNS thing means most people look up forums.somethjngawful.com and then their browser gets told to go to 1.2.3.4 for it, only 1.2.3.4 is a whole bunch of servers in various places that just relay requests between the browser and SA, when SA is really at 4.5.6.7. so if you attack 4.5.6.7 you have just skipped cloidflare this is just my guess idk what really happened and am on my phone, maybe I'll look tomorrow if SA is still reachable outside of CF let it mellow fucked around with this message at 05:48 on Sep 18, 2016 |

if that's what happens then you can set the real SA servers at 4.5.6.7 to only accept requests from the nice reverse proxies at 1.2.3.4 and this problem doesn't happen, that's why I am not convinced what I said is actually the case, but it is one way to bypass CF
