she had the audacity to walk up to a pitbull that was surely properly under the control of its responsible owners who are in no way responsible for what their precious murder dog is predisposed to do.

I only keep dogs that are huge pussies and piss themselves in reaction to loud noises
animals cant really be predisposed toward behavior its the owners
its not like there are hundreds of genes invisibly affecting behavior that can unpredictably compel a dog toward a violent action and pit bull breeding accumulated a number of the genes that tend toward violent behavior
this type of conclusion was not proven by the siberian silver tail fox experiment half a century ago and people who dont know this dont have the outdated folksy "scientific" understanding of backwoods hicks

im telling you its all about the owners

At this point the vast majority of pit bulls are bred for nothing. You have to continue breeding for traits if you want the traits to remain in the breed. Retard
once you create a breed and there are people that actively attempt to maintain a purity of that line (and still share those genes outside of the breeding line they keep) you dont have to continually breed for traits. the traits are already there already accumulated in higher proportion than other breeds and mixing and matching from the same pool isnt going to change that

you can water down parts of that gene pool and there will still be vastly more instances of offspring than other breeds that undetectably have a much higher tendency to suddenly attack even if another dog of that breed that looks the exact same has a much more domesticated set of canine genes

there are surely instances of real sweetheart pit bulls but you can never actually be sure even after a long period of time with them that you have one instead of a pit bull that's probably going to snap and decide a toddlers arm would make a good chew toy
a pitbull only has to flip out once in its entire life to maim disfigure or kill someone

tl;dr: oh wait its that idiot carmant

You guys must live in some incredibly dangerous areas where dogs eat drugs that make them extra-aggressive, because it's really not too hard to raise a dog that is really nice.

All medium to large dogs will be dangerous if you let them run around wild and only train and discipline them with the occasional beating.
the reasoning present here: you can make a nice dog mean with violence therefore you can domesticate a dangerous animal into a safe house pet with kindness
you are the type that thinks an ape would make a great pet companion and then it literally rips your friends acquaintances face off and this surprises you

siberian silver tail fox experiment 1960s:
"can being nice to a newborn animal overrule dangerous instincts they may possess" no, it is conclusively proven that dangerous instincts overrule the perceived kindness

dog domestication: done crudely through breeding over many many many generations, not "hey lets be nice to a wolf pup and then we will instantly have cuddly friendly dogs
over time domestication of dogs manifested behaviorally in pushing back onset of adulthood instincts, making adult dogs like wolf cubs, and in giving the animals an affinity for humans

this may come as a shock to you but this sort of thing has actually occurred to scientists as something to study.
you are wrong. your ideas are proven wrong and thus there is really no discussion about it
