T-Bone posted:e: I'm considering making all of the LSL managers post here / on Yahoo? What do you guys think about that? I figure at least 4-5 guys are probably MIA. I agree with this. And for what it's worth I'm re-upping in both LSL and HHL (Use the Schwartz! and Sixteen Yandles respectively). I'm also considering keepers in HHL as well. Sure locks are: Vlad Tarasenko: $36 -> $44 (last year of eligibility) Mark Stone: $2 -> $3 (last year of eligibility) I'm not sure how I want to go from there. A couple of the options I have at the moment: Anthony Duclair: $1 -> $2 (first year) Jonathan Drouin: $1 -> $2 (first year) Brad Marchand: $21 -> $26 (first year) Ryan O'Reilly: $42 -> $51 (first year) Sami Vatanen: $2 -> $3 (last year) Matt Duchene: $45 -> $54 (first year) Jonathan Huberdeau: $30 -> $36 (first year) Kyle Palmieri: $1 -> $2 (first year) I'm thinking O'Reilly and one of Duclair, Drouin, or Marchand.

I'm getting really annoyed by Yahoo's 20 character limit for team names. "Children of the Killorn" and "Super Zalapski Breakin'" are both barely too long to fit.

Decided on the following for keepers in HHL (Sixteen Yandles): Mark Stone: $2 -> $3 Vlad Tarasenko: $36 -> $44 Ryan O'Reilly: $42 -> $51 Brad Marchand: $21 -> $26 Comes out to $124. I'm gonna be really sad when Tarasenko is ineligible after this year.

Alright, back in LSL as Use the Schwartz. T-Bone, am I good to change my team name back to Sanheim Steamroller?Twin Cinema posted:Not to beat a dead horse (I am), but would anyone have thought differently if mentholmoose tried to keep Duchene this year? Similar situation, in that T-Bone dropped him (I believe) before the championship round, only he was picked up for a reasonable price. No one seemed to mind at the time, or notice when moose thought about keeping him earlier in the thread. I am only bringing it up now because I just noticed. I also realize it's a moot point, but I am just interested to see other people's thoughts. The difference, from my recollection, is that I picked up Duchene with the whole of the championship round left to play, and Crosby was added the last day of the season, so he couldn't appear in a matchup. The can't cut list could be a good idea, but I can't begin to think of a good threshold to use for it.

Monday can work; the HHL draft, I'm sure you know, is also Monday. I can attempt to do two at once, but HHL seems like it will take significantly more effort. e: Or I'll bid $120 on Crosby and Seguin and have no money for anything and have all the time.

The LOLHL draft was this afternoon, though you wouldn't know it by the number of autodrafters we had. I think 9 out of 14 owners didn't show up at all. Here's my team: Greg McKeggs Peg Leg 1. (2) Sidney Crosby (Pit - C) 2. (27) Cory Schneider (NJ - G) 3. (30) Nicklas Backstrom (Was - C) 4. (55) Mark Scheifele (Wpg - C) 5. (58) John Carlson (Was - D) 6. (83) Brayden Schenn (Phi - C,LW) 7. (307) Ivan Provorov (Phi - D) 23. (310) Sebastian Aho (Car - RW) I like it.

As is LSL tradition, I hate this team. Which means I'll probably get a top four seed and get wrecked in the playoffs. Sanheim Steamroller 1. (13) Tyler Seguin (Dal - C) 2. (28) John Gibson (Anh - G) 3. (53) Petr Mrazek (Det - G) 4. (68) Mark Scheifele (Wpg - C) 5. (93) Mark Giordano (Cgy - D) 6. (108) Keith Yandle (Fla - D) 7. (133) Mika Zibanejad (NYR - C,RW) 8. (148) Cam Atkinson (Cls - RW) 9. (173) Ryan McDonagh (NYR - D) 10. (188) Carl Soderberg (Col - C) 11. (213) Marcus Johansson (Was - LW,RW) 12. (228) Morgan Rielly (Tor - D) 13. (253) Brock Nelson (NYI - LW) 14. (268) Michael Raffl (Phi - LW) 15. (293) Jared Spurgeon (Min - D) 16. (308) Casey Cizikas (NYI - C) 17. (333) Alexander Wennberg (Cls - C) 18. (348) Jonathan Bernier (Anh - G) 19. (373) Marcus Foligno (Buf - LW) 20. (388) Calvin de Haan (NYI - D) 21. (413) Jesper Fast (NYR - RW) 22. (428) Derek Dorsett (Van - RW) 23. (453) Johan Larsson (Buf - LW)

Here's my HHL team: O'Reillys Auto Parts 1. (5) Jack Eichel (Buf - C) $59 2. (22) Logan Couture (SJ - C) $61 3. (25) Oliver Ekman-Larsson (Ari - D) $58 4. (38) Craig Anderson (Ott - G) $24 5. (48) John Carlson (Was - D) $60 6. (52) Thomas Greiss (NYI - G) $6 7. (64) Mark Scheifele (Wpg - C) $46 8. (67) Ondrej Palat (TB - LW) $35 9. (78) Mikko Rantanen (Col - RW) $5 10. (103) Nick Leddy (NYI - D) $8 11. (119) Henrik Zetterberg (Det - C,LW) $4 12. (131) T.J. Brodie (Cgy - D) $7 13. (165) Bryan Little (Wpg - C) $2 14. (168) Zach Bogosian (Buf - D) $1 15. (245) Brad Marchand (K) (Bos - LW) $26 16. (246) Ryan O'Reilly (K) (Buf - C,LW) $51 17. (247) Vladimir Tarasenko (K) (StL - RW) $44 18. (248) Mark Stone (K) (Ott - RW) $3 I think I lucked out on Eichel and Scheifele, and that plus a few good keepers means I might do well. If Little rebounds that could be a hell of a value pick. I should have been more aggressive with goaltending, though, and I still don't know why I chose Bogosian over a number of possibly better options that got drafted later.

Mrazek completely poo poo the bed yesterday, and still singlehandedly won me the saves category this week. I love the LSL. Also I can't believe my HHL three-headed goalie monster of Thomas Greiss, Peter Budaj, and Craig Anderson is actually good so far. It doesn't make sense.

LSL right now I'm seventh, but there's only 7 points separating fourth and tenth; with my easy remaining schedule I think I have a shot at the division still. Or I might miss the playoffs entirely. I'm right on the edge in LOL and HHL; with a good couple weeks I could be in to get owned by the hilariously dominant 1 seeds. Petr Mrazek was not a good choice in the LSL draft. I could have had Bobrovsky instead, and probably would have been cruising with him and Gibson right now.

Yahoo Daily Fantasy is acting up, saying Price and Gibson aren't starting tonight, while their regular fantasy leagues say the two of them are. At this point I'm playing with house money instead of my own, but it's still annoying that I might lose because they hosed up.

I'm right on the bubble in HHL right now but I don't really have anyone to buy with to put me over the edge. This is my last year keeping Tarasenko too, which is really going to hurt if I don't win it this year. I guess if someone's really interested in J.T. Miller as a cheap keeper I could trade him for a points getter. In LSL I have taken over the Canada division lead and don't plan on letting go. I can't wait to win a third straight division and then lose in the first round to the 7 seed.

I think I've basically locked up the #1 seed in the LSL, though if Gibson doesn't come back I'm probably going to lose in the first round again. I really, really wish I had taken Bobrovsky instead of Mrazek in the third round of the draft; that pick has not gone well.

Going into the last day of this matchup I'm tied with the 8th seed team. I think I hold the tiebreaker, so I might be able to win my first ever LSL playoff match (as long as Devan Dubnyk doesn't get a shutout).

I think I might finally be going to the LSL finals! I'm slowing pulling ahead in the close categories and I'm up 9-4 right now. I'm so happy I'm actually doing something in the LSL playoffs for once! T-Bone posted:this is like 5 or 6 seasons in a row of losing in the semis in the LSL (altho I did win the inaugural season). You say that but I think you can still win that matchup.
