I'm proper hyped for Monday evening when I can finally play the new FIFA 17.

I tried some of those 'Squad Builder' challenges on the companion app but I found that after spending coins and building squads, the rewards were lacking. - I put in 5k coins to make several squads, and after opening the rewards and selling the players, came out with 6k. Not worth the effort. Maybe after the first week of actually playing I'll be able to quickly build squads and get the rest of the rewards.

Yeah he's overall an amazing CM. He's everywhere. He has 93 stamina and it shows. In attack he's pushing forward, in defense he's providing cover or assisting on a tackle.

His stamina/aggression/interceptions/reactions/agility really make up for all his shortcomings on the other stats. His lower stats don't show at all in-game. All around a solid solid CM that makes his presence felt in every game I've played with him.

I think his price has to do with the Euros and his OTW card. He's well worth the 13k or so I paid for him.

IF-Modeste is a monster. I've never played with a better player than this card. I just scored his 25th goal in 22 games played. I've never had a Striker have this good of a ratio. My strikers usually tend to be around 2:1, scoring once every 2 or so games. Completely unheard of with how this guy plays for me.

One thing I think is really emblematic of the stuff he does that I wish I could do was on the second goal at 3:02 where he was in a pretty dangerous position to shoot but in that split second he noticed that he had a guy who was open more above him and he actually did a fuckin scoop turn I think to turn up there and then passed it for an open shot, whereas when I get in a spot like that I think I just panic and start mashin shoot

Like a great example is 3:38 I actually broke down his defense and was in a pretty good spot but I think if I had passed it down my guy would have been at a slightly worse angle but would have had absolutely no defensive pressure and would have probably gotten a better shot off if like the instant Hernandez got it he did a through ball back to Modeste (although it happens so fast it's hard to tell if he would be offsides)

I have a hard time balancing trying to find the best shots like that with sometimes I just get games where I never find an angle good enough and just don't get enough shots off, so maybe erring on the side of at least getting shots off is correct

Solid performance by you I'd say. 1-3 is the best you could have hoped for. His scooping and timing was insane. I can barely pull off scoops, let alone time them that well.

I have had both. The first IF was a monster for me, scoring every game, dominating, etc. I sold at his peak and bought the SIF at his lowest. The SIF has left me wanting. He's still a monster, but I expected a bigger upgrade. That said, I'm not getting rid of him, and will continue to use him. He is still a beast.

It's just tons of packs and deals. I remember last black friday scoring Vidal for 44k, when he was selling a week earlier for nearly double that.

I sold off Dani Alves and Alex Sandro in the lead up to Black Friday this year. I got a solid 50k from them total and will be able to buy them back on Black Friday at probably 50% of the cost.

Also note, with Black Friday deals, it won't affect IF cards at all.

and his shots are loving hilarious. Anytime I have some space and I'm outside the box, I'm rocketing one towards goal. Only scored a handful of times with him, but I've also gotten a few rebound goals and loads of corners.

My highest is like 108 in 170 with SBC Muller which granted is way more than any other CAM I've had in the past, that 99 positioning just makes him magically appear at all the rebounds I think

I'd say my average is 1.5-2 goals a game. I bleed a lot of goals and often have lots of 2-3, 3-3, etc. scorelines as well. I tend to filter all my goals through IF-Modeste with my A-squad. On my B-squad it's more evenly spread among my LW/ST/RW. Also IF-Modeste has I think, single-digit assists. While IF-Forsberg at CAM has 45+ assists or so.

My A-squad:
Douglas Costa - 53 games, 6 goals
IF-Modeste - 118 games, 118 goals
Bellarabi - 36 games, 8 goals
and at CAM, IF-Forsberg - 90 games, 26 goals

B-Squad:
Schurrle - 135 games, 33 goals
Hahn - 18 games, 7 goals (before Hahn, Muller had a similar ratio)
Herrmann - 47 games, 7 goals
and at CAM, Draxler - 117 games, 34 goals

This game just frustrates the poo poo out of me sometimes, but poo poo like this is better than basically any other game. The lows are so incredibly low, but the highs are insanely high.

e: Also got an untradeable IF Eriksen from the guaranteed totw SBC, so that's cool.

I swear the players with god-tier teams are the worst. The teams I worry about the most are the all Nigerian squads or bronze/silver ones. Those dudes always wreck me.

Ah yeah, I didn't mean to come off that way. Yeah I have faced a few of those players that actually know how to use Messi/Ronaldo, but it's rare is all I meant. - Usually I'm just happy to lose by a goal or 2. Winning is out of the question for me.

I use Hunter on him. I've noticed some instances of him not turning as quick as I'd like, but I've learned his nuances and everything he touches is gold for me. He now sits at 121 games, 121 goals.

I decided that for too long Douglas Costa has been too average for my squad. He doesn't score for me, and barely assists. He's really just some fast weak player on the wing that distracts my opponent enough for all my other players to do things. Which is great, I guess, but I got bored of him.

Enter,

I put a Hunter card on him and decided to try him out for 5 or so games. Turns out he's a loving monster and pace isn't an issue with him at all. His crossing, passing, shooting, and dribbling is incredible. His first game he scored a brace, second game a free kick goal. On every one of his games he either scored, had assists, or had key passes that led to goals. A++ would buy again. Douglas Costa has been relegated to 'super sub' status when my LW/RW get tired.

I also noticed that with him in the squad, play got spread around more and I got goals from my CAM, RW, and of course IF-Modeste.

Yeah I picked up OTW Sanches for 58k. I already use his card for my squad, so gently caress it. I was already planning to buy him when I had 100k, but this just sped up that process.

Running this squad now,

SIF-Keita at 6 chem still has a huge advantage over his first in-form, stat-wise. I played 5 or so games with him and he performs well above the first in-form. He's a steal at 15k
