I'm pleasantly surprised that the characters haven't devolved (much) into 'cartoons' in the fourth season. Usually by now they would've flattened out into simplier-to-write personalities (like how Jenna Maroney became just a complete narcissistic ditz).

Most other shows would double down on the "Captain Robot", but scenes like the last two cold opens have shown him to be as ridiculous as the rest of the 99.

I feel like this season is a step up from the last and still drat great. Holt's always been a favorite, but between "BONE!?", the balloon arch and the resigned way he shattered the bottle, he's one of the best written on the show. THE FULL BULLPEN!

Melissa Fumero's ability to react to stuff is amazing. Her darting out of the chair at the end, like someone just put a bug in her hair, was gold.

I'm usually pretty lax about catching background reactions of non-speaking characters, so I'm glad I read this thread before watching the episode last night. It was just full of this stuff, and was probably one of the better episodes of the series. I was laughing at every scene. All three plot-lines were great, and I love the relationship between Terry and Jake. Also, Amy secretly considering Holt and Kevin to be her second set of parents is so in character for her. Perfect.

I wonder how many people got into Monty Hall arguments themselves after watching this? I always found that the best way to explain it was to present an alternate 100 door scenario where you pick one and the host then opens 98 of the other doors leaving your pick and one other.

I always thought of it as getting it wrong. You have a 1 in 3 chance to get it right, which means 2 in 3 to get it wrong. The host reveals one which is a wrong choice, since you were more likely to get it wrong on the first guess, you do better by switching.
