Love it. Although I'd find some personal PoVs interesting alongside this would give a fuller view, if you are framing this as a fraction of a documentary on post-war republic and bulrathi relations. I dunno, something like interviews or donated/recovered journals, or cameras "on the ground" with the occupation forces.

I- am I being a bother? I'm just adding my ideas on how to improve the narrative, sorry.

Scout frigate: Partisan class. If we're using our Scout Frigates to support our main line of battle, something is very wrong. As long as it's able to beat the crap out of pirates and not need to return to resupply too often, it'll do fine.
Fleet escort frigate: Hoplite class. Saving on the Scouts means we can afford some more expensive escorts. Hoplite is real nice for its point defense, IMO. Use them to screen bigger ships!
Bombardment cruiser: Thunderbolt class but only if we can specifically refer to it as the A-10 Thunderbolt II. I'm a big nerd. Go Ugly Early.
Battleship: Halberd class If we can outfit the rest of the fleet with sufficient stacks of Point Defense, then the massive firepower that those six guns can provide is well worth making them less effective at shooting down enemy munitions.
Supplemental fleet role: Cato class superheavy battleship. We have money, let's build the beastliest bastard we can build.

I'm terrible at any tactics beyond "form a doomblob and charge forward" so I'm voting what he says, it seems plausible.

Not to :godwin: this but that's like 2 million Hitlers.

I cordially remind people that our Future People are not going to be nearly as obsessed with the 20th and 21st centuries as those of us living in them, so many of our modern cultural products are not necessarily relevant any longer.

Also, please be kind to my poor sanity.

I'd argue this point, seeing as we still read Shakespeare, de Cervantes AND the likes of Frankenstein, Dracula, Sherlock Holmes or Pride and Prejudice.

Well, yeah, as a 4x game, I gets more complicated the later in the game you are and also with the amount of colonies/settlements you have, so if 10 turns weren't much at the beggining, they are really big on the current turn.

So yeah, maybe it'd be a good idea for your sanity.

On the other hand, this'd mean you would effectively be doubling the never of updates you have e left until finishing, so keep that in mind.

Like, maximum Hitler Civ IV, or a different type of game. With XCOM you could work on your dialogue writing (like Guavamoment's OG LP), or maybe a look at dinasty building with CK2(no wait we are nearing critical mass on paradox threads).

Ultimately it is all up to you! Do something you think is fun!
