The fact that twenty future Marvel movies have dates attached to them doesn't mean that they were actually planned beyond marketing. I'm reasonably sure many of them still don't have scripts. The studio execs know that they need to produce three movies in one go, and that's all that matters. There is no big vision, because scripts are written by a dozen of screenwriters who mostly just follow directions on who should have more lines, what stupid cameo should be shoehorned, etc.

What people often miss in Star Wars is the franchise's odd name. Notice how it's not Space Wars or Stellar Wars, not even War among the Stars? Consider this: 'wars' is a verb. This would make the title an allusion to Lucifer, 'morning star' who is at war with God and his angels. On the other hand, Star Wars sounds almost identical to the Greek word σταυρός (stauros), i.e. cross, which is one of the most recognised symbols of Christianity and Jesus' redemptive suffering on, you guessed it, the cross. So we have this binary in the title, which is a thematic rhyme to the character arc of Anakin 'Darth Vader' Skywalker. Also note that his last name can in itself be considered a nod to his dualistic, yet angelic nature.

Natalie Portman, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher are all Jewish. Frank Oz is also Jewish. But the real genius of George Lucas shines through, when you realise that Ewan McGregor and Alec Guinness both have/had Jewish wives. Talk about poetry.

I am half-Jewish and Watto from Star Wars doesn't offend me one bit. In fact, the Holocaust is probably slightly above 3 on my 0 to 10 offensiveness scale. Watto is barely 0.1.
