Oh drat I didn't know that's pretty impressive. I was reading that the reason so many of the second wave bm bands were so young was that they had really strong music electives in Norway's public schools, I wonder if that's the case here too?

Also if you like relentlessly blastbeaty Brazilian metal check out Krisiun if you haven't already, best albums imo are up to and including Ageless Venomous

I'm trying to get a mental picture of a guy who likes Bodom and Dream Theatre more than Megadeth. I'm picturing someone drinking expensive wine while watching Tim Burton movies and pontificating on all the nuances that his casual fans just don't get

Actually, I prefer MegaDeth, I want for them. Just their live mixing is all hosed up and sounds not the best. Also dream theatre put on an awesome show.

Also, you're close. I drink craft beer and watch Lynch movies.

i think in brazil's case it's because they'd just gotten through 20 years of a repressive military dictatorship and a bunch of kids got hold of the first shipment of slayer and hellhammer records and immediately started bands trying to outdo them

he's got royalties from the first couple metallica albums plus megadeth made decent cash, he's not hurting

like he's literally trying to buy his daughter a career in nashville

I'm gonna be honest, Kreator never clicked with me. I've liked my fair share of Destruction and Sodom, but Kreator...I really only like "Fatal Energy" because god drat that opening riff is catchy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BZUpR2jofE

you can actually inflate your scrote pretty safely with sterile saline, syringes, needles, and aseptic technique. its a niche kink iirc

the saline just slowly gets absorbed into your blood but in the meantime you got a big round smooth distended nutsack

agent orange, crass, X, & the circle jerks plus slayer, anthrax, and megadeth collectively prove that you can be an insufferable indie knob jockey AND rock the gently caress out

Just fired up Rust in Peace on my collection. I was kinda mad when Megadeth cancelled their Fargo stop when I had tickets, but this album is still great.I spent like a dozen nights listening to this playing MtG at a friend's house like a decade ago before my life kinda went to poo poo. This brings back good memories.
