In Straight Time, he takes an unscripted slug to the face from a 7 or 8 year old Jake Busey. Watching him pretend not to want to beat that kid to death was some of the best acting I've ever seen. He also sings his rear end off in The Buddy Holly Story. And he's a cool uncle who gets his nephew fireworks and live ammo in Silver Bullet.
