It was a blatant kick the dog moment. Like I said, I'll give this one more episode, but it really has to wow me for me to continue with it.

I can't believe I was about to drop this show. This episode was really good. I do kinda feel sorry for Ruler, but she brought it upon herself by pushing everyone on her side away. I wonder when Snow White'll begin her descent. She and La Pucelle are still playing Cardcaptors while everyone else is playing Game of Thrones.

I'm also kind of surprised how okay I was with La Pucelle dying. In the end, it was her stupid hubris, her stupid code of honor, and her stupid, stupid, pointless death. Yeah, same. Of course, La Pucelle was always kind of a dead mahou walking.

Not that anyone in the show is super fleshed out (the more interesting ones, like Ripple, are interesting mainly because some aspect of their personality is still somewhat ambiguous), but when you compare Cranberry to other characters of the same general archetype, like Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter, she seems a bit dull. I wonder if Cranberry's even a person and not, like, an NPC that found her way into the real world.
