If they wanted to have tension between James and Kara they should have made it about her new dedication to being a reporter and him not doing enough with his new position as the head of Catco to help the world or something. Noble ideals of the press vs the realities of running a global media empire, something like that.

His whole not all heros wear capes thing was much more interesting than Gaurdian.

Nice to see a bit of a deep cut for the antagonist.

Catco is officially irrelevant.

There is enough drama in every other TV relationship. Just let Maggie and Alex be healthy and happy.

Did Mon El end up in the phantom zone? That last shot looked like he wasn't in control of the pod.

I really enjoyed how not gritty and real the bad guys plan was.

Buy up the water front through shell companies? Nah. Covertly plant exsplosives? Nope.

Hire a known mercenary to pull off a high stakes heist as cover for your real plan to have your mercenary steal tech from a captured alien ship that the military is hiding from the DEO (because you know that is happening) so you can cloak a submarine to fire torpedos at the waterfront (during a Supergirl statue unvailing) to wreck it thus driving down property values? That's the ticket.

Stay comic books Supergirl.

It really seems like the writers are handling a possible Maggie-Alex break-up with the subtlety of a hundred pianos falling down a flight of stairs, so that kinda sucks.

Subtle or not I really hope they at least make it a reasonable break up and not just drama. It's Alex's first relationship with a women, they hadn't dated that long and differences in wanting kids to say nothing of wedding entertainment are legit things that couples don't consider when the get engaged quickly that can set up a marriage for failure. I don't want them to break up but at least handle it well.

I think the kids discussion is a stupid and over-used relationship trial in TV and movies.

It is used because it is a real deal relationship killer. If a couple don't agree one way or the other there isn't a happy ending for them, period. If they are dead set on writing Maggie off I'm glad they're at least going with a real issue rather than manufactured drama.

Collateral damage is alway sad but it's hard to ignore that all these people and their kids would have been enslaved or killed by aliens like two months ago if not for that bomb.

The DEO really needs to get a door for that balcony.
