Alexandria looking a lot less like a suburb these days.

Most suburban houses aren't built to last, so unless they found a hundred carpenters during the timeskip it would make sense a lot of them fell into disrepair and that's why they're in cowboy town now

"If I tried to explain it you wouldn't understand" You know what Henry, that's fair. If someone spends a few years failing to see a downside to keeping a zombie in a poorly constructed hole in the ground for funzies they probably deserve whatever happens

So did anything happen tonight or what.

Effectively? Nothing. Technically:

The Kingdom became uninhabitable because the buildings weren't up to code, so they went on a journey to Hilltop during a severe snowstorm. Meanwhile back at Alexandria no one cleans out their chimneys and this fact almost got Judith killed

Oh they did a Red Comet episode in this show too?

Kinda, I guess. Specifically an old satellite crashed inside Whisperer territory and caused a forest fire and the the protagonists went in to put it out.

And I'm sure Alpha will be forever grateful that they risked their lives to solve a problem she couldn't solve and not use it as a pretense for war.

Might feed 200 people once

Yeah a healthy deer leaves about 60-80 pounds of edible meat, then you triple that number because a standard serving of meat is 4 ounces, give or take some choice cuts for Carol and Daryl because they caught the deer, then mix in the local harvest for sides and spices and you come close to giving 200 people a nice dinner.

Aaron and Negan was the dumbest, most contrived "oh look Negan really IS good now!" bullshit

I feel like this is what they were going for, but it just felt like Negan was back to scheming and manipulating.

Was Gamma set up to fail so Dante's job would go easier? Because this episode painted two very different pictures about how competent Alpha is at information gathering.

Carol is also kind of confusing; she's both methodical and reckless.

That part actually makes sense. Time and again she's proven to be the biggest badass of the apocalypse, give her a gun with three bullets and a pocketknife and she can fight her way out of anything. However she's also never been this kind of blind swinging angry before. Sure Henry wasn't the first child to die in her care, but by the time Alpha cut off his head he was in her life longer than Sophia if my math is right. She thought her murderin' days were over and it was just a long, happy life of rebuilding civilization and raising a family ahead of her, instead that happened.

Basically she knows better than anybody how to take down Alpha and her horde, but she stopped caring about her own survival and the people around her a season and a half ago. Which is having predictable results.

I will say exactly one good thing about the season 10 finale: I liked Beta's death scene

From his perspective he dies the most FUCKIN METAL way imaginable  And then we cut to Darryl and Negan looking on like "Yeah whatever that dude was nuts, I can't believe I bought every one of his albums"

I feel like that was the best way to show how weird and culty the whisperers were one last time before they stopped being a threat. And a commentary on how the show sees itself while we the audience look at what's actually on screen :v:

I stopped watching this show shortly after Negan killed Glenn and Abraham, so I've missed 4 or 5 years of episodes, but I'm seeing the ads and with Maggie back in the show and I would think that she would be trying to kill Negan every chance she gets. What is the short version of the history of events that has both these characters currently co-existing in the show?

Unknown because Maggie's thoughts on the matter haven't really been explored. Someone says "You can't kill him we offered his freedom in exchange for helping us against a bigger threat" and she acquiesced to that, but she also kinda implied she's looking for a way to kill him without making everyone mad by the end of her return episode

Ok I'll say it. It's a little weird that Darryl and the others took Maggie at her word that Negan just walked off. After a massacre like that I'd just kinda assume she killed him and was keeping some part of what used to be Negan in a box as a trophy

So rick just survived a grenade just blowing up on his chest huh?

He rolled it under the zombies and all their bodies absorbed the shrapnel and the explosion, which I can believe

The harder to believe explosion was when they set off all those Phosgene warheads and survived by getting under a flag soaked in water.

I nitpick cause I love. This miniseries was better than it had any right to be and it just makes it sting more that the other spinoff shows will continue to shamble on for more seasons when this woulda been the best ending for the franchise
