Is anyone watching The Ones Who Live? Seems like the Rick spinoff finally arrived and no one cares because of all the disappointment between when he left and now

All the spin offs are going to fail, they screwed up the original series. Milked it way too long and completely botched the ending. No one cares anymore, none of the characters are interesting and the dead should be absolutely zero threat by now.

Fake edit: How lucky do you need to be to randomly crash a helicopter at the literal feet of the one person looking for you on the entire continental United States!

It’s passed because none of the spin offs are interesting.

The “hook” of the original is completely missing. There is no tension, no drama between interesting characters, not enough body horror. It’s just bland all the way down.

All the other ones have lower ratings, though

I know it dont mean much, but Fear has 6.8, Dead City got 7.3, the original show 8.1. The Ones Who Live got 8.9, unusually high

That’s because the main character is in it. Also it’s the first episode so old fans checked it out. I made it through 3/4 episodes through dead city, a season through the Daryl Dixon one (because it had an interesting hook) and stopped watching before the end of the episode of The one’s that lived.

Whines:

I’m a prisoner of a giant well organised army, I am fed provided weapons and told I’ll be free to do whatever I want after a sentence of enforced work.

Do I: Wait the time out them do what I want with the resources of a city and the benefits of my reputation and willingness of the city to recruit me

Or: Wait till I’m in the middle of hand to hand combat with a walker swarm and cut of my own hand, limping off horrendously wounded into the dark with no supplies.

Man! These zombies im slaughtering effortlessly with a specialised weapon through a barrier all day without any risk at all sure are dangerous! What an exciting situation! Hey… why does every dead person in the world own a long sleeve tee shirt and died wearing it?

True that,

But it definitely beats self inflicting a fatal injury on myself in the middle of a war zone.

If you haven’t watched it - world beyond basically takes place right before this. Season 2 has Jadis as the big bad setting up the destruction of Portland while watching people at the research facility in Ithaca. It had good world building, just a bad cast.

I firmly disagree.
