It’s passed because none of the spin offs are interesting. The “hook” of the original is completely missing. There is no tension, no drama between interesting characters, not enough body horror. It’s just bland all the way down.

Do I: Wait the time out them do what I want with the resources of a city and the benefits of my reputation and willingness of the city to recruit me Or: Wait till I’m in the middle of hand to hand combat with a walker swarm and cut of my own hand, limping off horrendously wounded into the dark with no supplies. Man! These zombies im slaughtering effortlessly with a specialised weapon through a barrier all day without any risk at all sure are dangerous! What an exciting situation! Hey… why does every dead person in the world own a long sleeve tee shirt and died wearing it?

Pillowpants posted:If you haven’t watched it - world beyond basically takes place right before this. Season 2 has Jadis as the big bad setting up the destruction of Portland while watching people at the research facility in Ithaca. It had good world building, just a bad cast. I firmly disagree.
