Motes are a fairly limited resource and Tyro needs more of them than everyone else.
This is true if you intend to fully dive him, but he actually needs less than everyone else if you just want to legend dive him- the only two 3* nodes he requires are Black Mage and White Mage. He doesn't require any more or fewer 5* motes than anyone else.

Record Dungeon:
- Releasing in December 2017
- Foretolds an original story of "FFRK"
- Famous scenes from existing FF titles will be fully remade in pixel art
- Will be using a brand new system

The main component of Record Dungeon to look out for is that it makes use of a system that is totally separate from existing contents. They will not be like weekly events.
Furthermore, they are designed in a way to give all players a fair start.

The game screen for Record Dungeons will also be completely new.
Instead of a selection menu like we have for current contents, you will be moving through dungeons in an Airship. This gives players a feeling of adventure.

The original FFRK soundtrack will also be played in Record Dungeon!

Another main attraction of Record Dungeon are the memorable FF scenes in pixel art that are completely made from scratch.
The back of our characters, backgrounds, etc. All are fully remade.
You can also see new sprites like FFVII's Biggs, Wedge & Jessie. Even Cloud in a cross-arm pose.

Also, there's across the board SB generation gain on abilities (currently, most 5* abilities generate 60 SB, while 6* abilities generate 70 SB):

(Fastcast means at least Celerity/Thief-level casting time; White Magic's slightly faster casts don't count)
Two notable exceptions: 2* Samurai ability Retaliate is 80 SB gain (presumably as a consolation offset for not getting hit), and 6* Dragoon ability Sky High is 90 SB gain (despite being elemental).

For comparison, a normal attack is 50 SB gain, being attacked is 50 SB gain, Lifesiphon is 150 SB gain, and Wrath is 180 SB gain. Ace Striker/Battleforged increases attack/ability SB gain by +50%, as does hitting a weakness (combined, they apply in order, so it's actually more than a +100%- a 60 SB gain hit becomes a 135 SB gain hit when hitting weakness under Ace Striker/Battleforged)
So under the new system Snowspell Strike, Meltdown, and Valigarmanda will be 180 SB gain if hitting a weakness under Ace Striker/Battleforged, compared to 225 SB gain by Lifesiphon or 270 SB gain by Wrath under the same conditions.
(This means Celes weakness hits for 240 SB gain with Snowspell Strike and 210 SB gain with 5* Spellblades with her LM2)

It's worth mentioning that there's a lot of animation changes, as well, mostly for faster animations and/or accommodating extra hits.

As far as I know, only some special dooms from bosses have ever overwritten an active Doom timer, like Barthandelus. I don't know exactly in this case, though.
+30% MAG/RES and +30% MAG/-30% RES are two different IDs and will stack. Someone can correct me but I think the subsequent subtraction won't replace the boost, just applies itself as normal (I forget if that's to the base or the boosted number, though).

Getting some more advance details on the new Record Dungeons, with pictures!

Destroyed Paintings:

- While the level of the characters are also fixed, only Tyro and Elarra will level up from the battle experience here.

Battles in Destroyed Paintings are also a remake of the original. Key to winning these battles lie in the player's skill, since the teams given to you are already made.
As usual, difficulty will gradually rise as you go through the dungeons. And there are some hidden ones with serious difficulty.

There are also dungeons with multiple fights and your HP and ability uses will carry forward, so some strategizing is needed before you reach the boss.

You can explore through them by tapping these icons.
As you get more freedom in exploration, it gets more complicated as well.
Similar to FF, you can even traverse dungeons to discover treasure chests and hidden routes!

Crystal Water

Crystal Water is a new source of power for our heroes.
This is very similar to the Record Dive system.
There are various types of Crystal Waters that represents a certain stat.
Using them will raise your character's stats.
While the amount you get is limited at the start, you can earn more as you proceed through the Record Dungeons!

Not that it improves it that much, but I'll point out that the entry buff is a very rare party atk/MND instead of MAG. The only other character who has one is Aemo and we don't even have her in Global.
So it'll stack with pretty much everything, and even be a boost for the holy mage stuff that's coming in the next six months. (Also a tertiary benefit in reducing CC time.)

But it's still not the Marche relic you WANT.

v True, which is one reason it doesn't improve its stock much, but it's something amidst the sea of ATK/MAG boosts.

In addition, while the banner headers themselves have not been translated, all the Super Fest relics ON the banners have been. Seems like they'll be cobbling together a fest for the rest of us.

Barrage is 4 hits at full 1x damage.

Comparative skills: 6* Northern Cross is the same potency. Flare Strike is the same potency (though over 5 hits, so a higher damage cap). It's slightly stronger than most of the physical 5* elemental skills (though the Darkness skills are as strong or stronger, with their own drawbacks). Full Charge is still stronger but contingent on having a way to cast it faster to keep a higher average. Dragoon Jump is the strongest potency 5* NE ability at 4 x 1.23x, with Jump time.

So Barrage doesn't dethrone anything but it's perfectly good non-elemental damage. It is random target, though.

It's also the VI event for Leo and Edgar and... well, actually, it's another bonanza for Locke, who gets up to +100 ATK from relics after this update. Celes gets a good USB, too.

Two new abilities; first up, an Earth version of the latest Knight holy move, then a thing for Locke (and maybe even Thancred can use it???)
5* Knight Ability, Earth Saber: 5 single-target Earth physical attacks, DEF -30% to user

5* Thief Ability, Soul Burn: 4 single-target Fire physical attacks, higher multiplier with lower % HP

After the maintenance, "Cid's Mission" will be gone
All archived missions will be wiped

Certain in-progress & new missions will be carried forward
- Limited CMs active during the maintenance period
- Re-featured limited missions
- Weekly & Monthly Magicite missions

5 stamina potions will be rewarded after the maintenance.

They're keeping some existing CM; the ones tied to the Torments, for instance, are explicitly mentioned (the "re-featured limited" ones).
Maybe only until they figure out how to rig them into the new system, but still.
