So there's a new ability for I believe Shadow tanks which reflects incoming damage. It works on the Master/Blaster fight and ignores Master's damage reduction. You can do about half of Master's health bar in the duration of one buff.

Grind out command xp for the crates with random gear in them.

It's been stated but if you want as little Force stuff as possible, don't play any class with Jedi or Sith in its name. Character stories go through the same planets (and therefore mostly the same aesthetics) but class stories are so quick it shouldn't wear on you too badly - spare a thought for those of us who had to do all the planetary quests on every alt as well as class quests just to stay at-level. :v:

Well the good news is once you get him once you can unlock him on any other character for $1 million credits. And he's unlockable at level 1, so if you didn't qualify for Nico, Shae or Master Ranos you can buy him and tear through poo poo.

The bad news is that the gameplay reward for doing all that bullshit is no longer relevant. HK used to have an ability where after killing 5 trash mobs he could insta-kill any trash mob of Strong or lower quality. It loving ruled but they removed that when they made all companions mechanically identical.

Because it never happened.

After episode 3 people were wondering "okay well where's the balancing the force stuff?" So then the theory about well maybe the prophecy wasn't talking about a good thing.

But Lucas came out and said "err, um, ahh" and then he wiped some sweat from his forehead with a stack of 100s, and said it was when he killed the Emperor, eliminating the dark side forev- oops.

Anakin "brings balance to the force" by ultimately destroying the Emperor. Star Wars is a movie for children you're reading too much into it if you think it's any deeper?

I'll tell you what does make me mad about Star Wars; this game not having report functionality greater than "report spam". When I'm seeing threats of violence, white supremacy and people telling others to kill themselves and there doesn't seem to be any way to report this behaviour. Sort it out Bioware :smith:

I kind of wish they'd revisit the aesthetics of scrapper scoundrel. Punching out sith lords and giant robots was funny for the first couple hours, but after a while I'm officially tired of the meat-slapping foley sound.

I think it'd be cooler if they:

1) replaced the bludgeon animation with sucker punch (or even bring back blaster whip, bludgeon is kind of ugly)
2) replace sucker punch with some kind of cool hip fire/fan the hammer animation (yes I have been playing overwatch, why do you ask), or maybe another thing using the shotgun.

Punching out giant monsters is just...a little too silly to stick with for the long term.

Have you tried raiding with scrapper scoundrels? 8 straight minutes of whapping and slapping sound effects :v:

Athiss is by far the quickest Flashpoint to run, so I wouldn't be surprised. The "Do a flashpoint via Group Finder" reward is only like 20 command xp so why not just pick the easiest one? It's the same reason you will keep seeing Fractured when you start doing uprisings.

It helps that Fractured only has one boss fight and half of it can be skipped.

Yeah. I haven't played in 2 or 3 years.

On another note, I vaguely remember TORhead or something having affection gains for your companions during various missions. I know dulfy has influence gains for the new expansions, but does any other site have stuff for the old missions? Not that big of a deal, but I liked using it to choose a companion.

It's worth noting that companions gain influence now even when they dislike your choices. The worst thing you can do is take a companion who doesn't react at all, but you gain influence points when they approve and disapprove.

Those relics are dirt cheap because they're trash. Clickable relics are generally far inferior to passive proc relics, which you used to not be able to get until endgame but now you get from Heroics or crafting beginning at level 10.

I was reading on the official forum and saw a few threads about people quitting in droves. Mostly stuff about being able to do the expansion in one night and then having no reason to play until the next expansion.

This was exactly what people said about the previous expansion but it clearly worked for Bioware so I don't reckon they'll be changing the formula. They have implied that they will be adding new raid content in the spring, but I won't hold my breath.

About that: You do meet Skadge in the Rusk alliance alert and you do get the option to kill off either Skadge or Rusk. From what I've seen in SWTOR forums posts, I think Skadge is hitting a near 100% die off rate.

You can also recruit them both and kill neither. The only thing you can't do is kill both of them.

okay I got to the point where KOTFE opens up I guess and does any of this Alliance stuff matter or should I just keep going through the story? Is there anything cool in those specialist crates?

There are some mounts and a lot of legacy gear sets. You won't lose the ability to hand those crates in so don't worry about missing out. You can carry on with the story and just hand those crates in as and when you feel like it. There are some associated achievements with the Star Fortresses though so you'll want all the alliance members to rank 10 at some point if you want that.
