I am playing this game now. Apparently mtg instincts carry over enough for my t2 records to be pretty positive--spent all the free tickets the story gives and never did worse than 2-3, with the majority being 3-2 or 4-1. I built a budget (i.e. Merlin-less) D shift deck because spellboost speaks to me on a deep spiritual level, and will probably aggressively mulch poo poo for Daria and Merlin.

Yeah I know Daria is a completely different deck, but it also looks fun so I want it. I'm playing Lou right now but there's one or two cards in the list I copied that feel kind of out of place and Merlin could easily slot in over them. The list has one rite of exorcism which is super mediocre and three blade mages which feels like too many. Based on my personal experience laddering (just hit A0), Daria is really really good in the low-tier meta and I'm astonished I haven't seen even one enemy Daria the entire time I've spent getting here. She might be bad in Master or whatever but semi-consistent turn 6 kills and turn 7 kills even with bad hands are really good against the meta I'm seeing here

So far I haven't seen any cards that make me really excited to play with them. There's definitely some powerful cards, but none that make me want to build a deck for them day one Of course this is all entirely subjective and I hope a lot of people other than me are excited by all the neutral synergy

If my knowledge of how mtg metagames develop is still applicable here, Carbosse will be played in aggro blood if aggro is a large part of the metagame, and will be ditched in favor of going faster if control dominates.

It's okay my initial set of packs (no rerolls) had seventeen legends (one animated), and when I opened 60 packs of Bahamut to go Daria hunting, I got eighteen legends, two animated, distributed well so I only had 2 total extras I'm just reverting to the mean here

Since limited is an afterthought in this game there's just a way higher density of unbeatable bombs than a game like magic and the lack of instants means there's no situations where you can really stem the bleeding

Reroll on an android emulator so you have root access. You just have to delete one xml file to reroll, no need to redownload anything. If you have one you're unsure about you can even rename the xml file instead and it'll be good for 24 hours or something if you name it back.

I'm trying to make the Heinlein control Daria deck work and I figured I'd put it up here to see if people think I'm missing something obvious. The Commence Experiment/Calamitous curse package is untested; I had Angelic Snipe+Fire Chain last night but both of those cards played really badly for me. The deck definitely can do some busted stuff but it needs work for sure.
