I also watch this oddball show. Found it after Z-nation. Thought it was going to be dumb preachy thing or maybe a super-serious "The Day After" kind of show but it's...well, different. Something about all of the apocalypses happening at once is awesome entertainment. re: episode chat that special guest is going to turn out to be an ultra-brutal warlord who tries something with a certain nick-named main character isn't he?

"No one is saved rear end in a top hat it's the apocalypse" Not sure if exposition is helping or hurting but it's shaking things up. f/e: drat, booty

JossiRossi posted:"What the fu-"*CUT TO COMMERCIAL* Yeah they definitely seem to going for this kind of vibe. Show's ability to turn dark, darker, darkest still is pretty impressive considering the outlandish backdrop going on. Guess it's still internally consistent though. Every time you think you have Aftermath figured out kinda then....

Yeah, show sets up these little scenarios really well. Could almost work as just vignettes from the apocalypse(s) with no real over-arching anything. For a minute I thought Moondog was going to be Josh from another point in time. The plot has still thickened though.

The gravity wave thing was pretty interesting and a solid way to tie it all together. Like they veered into actual (if nominal) science and stuff. Overall it was satisfying imo and a different take on the genre. Hope it comes back for more. They could probably run in a bunch of different directions with it after that set-up. Also; Anne Heche

This timeline sucks. There's a lot of potential in this one. Again, not unexpected but drat.
