Is there any way to get the for real DirecTV app working, not the DirecTV Now app, on FireTV?

So with the FireTV 4k, i open netflix and it just sits on the N logo splash screen. Did a factory reset, deleted it from my amazon account and re"bought" it, and still does the same thing. Am I missing anything?

Does the Netflix app respect variable refresh rate from the newer fire tv settings?

You can run Kodi on it just fine, and I also found the cast portion picky. Make sure you have the actual YouTube app and not the YouTube.com app which are all different.
