Jonny_Rocket posted:The Marvel film division should take a page from the Netflix division - the shows have had consistently strong, well-written villains with a lot of depth. Kind of. There's still wet farts like Diamondback and The Hand. Cythereal fucked around with this message at 01:26 on Oct 24, 2016 |

Saw it this afternoon with my family. Formula Marvel, perhaps, nothing aside from the balls-to-the-walls special effects is very original, but it's fun. Solid actors in lead roles, pointless love interest, plenty of humor, great action sequences, etc. The Cloak of Levitation might be my favorite character in the movie. I hope Mordo won't be an outright villain in the future - I enjoyed his relationship with Strange, and would prefer him as an antagonist but not outright evil.

Nessus posted:They did that, I thought: you just sort of see it in reverse and obviously in the background because Strange is approaching the actual core epicenter. In this context he has good reason not to care a ton about Acolyte #39, he's focused on undoing the Real Bad. I think Strange only beats two of the goons, both times by outthinking them - the one he strands in the desert, and the one the Cloak of Levitation beats up while Strange fights him in astral form in the hospital - who he beats by having the doctor lady fibrillate his body.
