This guy attempts to quantify individual defense, and it looks like his stats match the eye test, for the most part. SportsVU has been a godsend, honestly http://www.basketballanalyticsbook.com/2017/02/06/individual-defensive-ratings-draymond-embiid-and-giannis-on-top/

Dexo posted:Lebron's post game "you guys can say whatever about me, but guess what tommorrow I'm gonna wake up and be LeBron James, while you broke bois are gonna go to your normal job and live the same pathetic life" is the most underrated post game/series press conference answer ever. I remember when I saw this live I was mad but I was also like 15 Now, it's a great moment in post game history and I love it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT1jgFZZryE

it's kind of crazy that LeBron has singlehandedly set back numerous franchises by years

I'll laugh if the Lakers vault into the number 1 spot, and doubly so when Magic Johnson drafts Lonzo Ball number 1

guys, I have a sneaking suspicion that LeBron is going to run the Warriors off the court in the Finals

so, why did LMA only shoot 11 times last night? Warriors' game plan or is he too used to being passive now

has there ever been a Finals where both teams were coming off a 12-0 start to the playoffs? because that seems like what's going to happen

I actually look back on the LeBron Heat era fondly, they played some great basketball until they were broken by the immortal Pop

I dunno, I think the subtext of LeBron finally meeting a worthy adversary three years in a row makes for good basketball; similarly the Warriors got super lucky because just four years ago they were an afterthought. There was no way these two teams weren't going to meet again for the title, so I like that they blew everyone out to ensure it A shame about everyone else though

the 30 for 30 on the 90s Magic was one of the best produced pieces I've ever seen, they were the Thunder before the Thunder

the Cavs are a +500 underdog now, this is great betting time that said, the Cavs winning it all seems a lot tougher now since they got blown out of the water. but they're definitely not turning over the ball 20 times like they did tonight again

this looks different from last year's team, I really think the Warriors will either gentleman's sweep or outright finish the Cavs in 4. look unstoppable right now

i think the world somehow managed to underrate the Warriors, given that 3-1 and Steph going ghost are still relatively fresh in mind

why does SF have such a bad homeless problem? I saw so many while I was there last week, more than I've seen in New York in basketball: what adjustments are the Cavs going to make tonight? at the beginning of Game 2 I saw that LeBron was running a pick and roll with Love which was interesting. JR definitely isn't going to see time the rest of the series, I think
