For those of you too lazy to click through, the article this is pulled from is a pro-click and reveals Sam Hinkie as a master empath and not a weirdo Silicon Valley/Ted Talks bullshit peddler quote:On Aug. 27, the 76ers hosted their annual Beach Bash at Jack’s Place on the Jersey Shore. At the end of the event, parched from all his socializing, Embiid ordered two Shirley Temples for the road. As he left, he took a sip, and beamed. The soda, the cherry, the grenadine, this was a mean Shirley Temple. He ducked back inside and autographed a shirt for the bartender: Best Shirley Temples Ever, Joel Embiid. http://www.si.com/nba/2016/10/26/joel-embiid-philadelphia-76ers-the-process

Tae posted:Felicio literally didn't play a minute. I understand if the coach is one of those shitheads that play vets over young players, but him and Portis are both 2nd years aren't they Bobby seemingly replaced Felicio in the rotation a few games ago for some reason. Now there's a lot of bench playing time with Portis-Mirotic as the front line. It is, predictably, a disaster defensively and at some point Hoiberg is going to have to acknowledge that It's also probably not a good idea to bury your talented first rounder on the bench indefinitely, but Portis should realistically be taking minutes from Mirotic instead of Felicio

That account seems to be suggesting that you shouldn't criticize Hoiberg for leaving Bobby Portis in for 14 consecutive minutes as the game swung from a 7 point lead to a 5 point deficit, which is...interesting

Another thing about the Ross call is that the clock does start before he even got the ball So the refs are saying the time from the Boogie tip to the ball hitting the floor is definitively more than .5 seconds + the normal human lag time to start the clock when the ball is touched. Which is, you know, insane

The Bulls bench is so powerfully bad that injuries to Doug McDermott and Michael Carter Williams have left it in ruins. Mo Speights, Wilson Chandler and Jamaal Murray have each individually outscored the entire Chicago bench in the past three games.

I'm not seeing it at all! He's a real big guy who's mobile for his size and is a solid rim runner. Under no circumstances should Bobby Portis ever be playing center.

It's almost 2017 and the NBA still hasn't accepted that every offensive big man who is a defensive liability has to be a sixth man now...sad stuff Two years of exposure to late career Pau Gasol made me extremely woke regarding this essential truth, which means I'm smarter at basketball than Gregg Popovich now

It is silly to be that incensed about a ref calling a foul when there is a whole lot of contact at the rim, to the point that you're giving up a free point and putting yourself at risk of ejection if you throw another fit (or as you continue to throw the same fit) He didn't get ejected, and in the grand scheme of things 1 point probably isn't going to really impact the outcome of the game, but st- oh right
