Remember when modding was "Hey guys, play the specialists, it's loving awesome you guys" and "lemme get this nicer AK model someone made that someone put on FPSbanana without the original creator's consent" or "Holy poo poo, I didn't have to pay for Natural Selection, this game is so well made now that it works"? Was it the FakeFactory mods? The one that was like 5 gigs, with "refined" textures and Alyx getting a completely different model with skimpier clothes every version? Where did it all go wrong? Was that where it went all wrong?

Half Life 2 was ahead of it's time and it would've been better if they did actually pull off the 2003 release date. They weren't able to anyway, but the german hacker leaking the alpha didn't do them any favors, and that's how Far Cry got a huge amount of attention by releasing first. My only problem with Half Life 2 is the "human" AI. Fighting the marines in HL1 was fun and they actually take cover, some run away if they take too much damage or need to reload and throw grenades to try and flush you out. It seems the only thing the Overwatch do are run straight at you and throw grenades, and the CPs do the same thing Overwatch do minus throw grenades. Would've been interesting to have them throw man hacks to flush you out as part of the AI and not just a trigger. Don't know what you guys are talking about, the guns are awesome. well except the Shotgun. Wished they kept the one from the E3 demonstration.

After some Skyrim talk, i decided to actually download the special edition instead of the original for once to see how that's like. I hear the special edition screwed up a lot of mods, but i'm mainly interested in SkyUI and anything that skips that goddamn intro

downloaded skyrim special edition. I hate that cart ride and tutorial so much I quit and uninstalled just after the talk of Velod making that mead. Going to switch to regular skyrim.
