This is after decapitation. Not happy with the upper body in this one but I like how the legs turned out, very weird angle.

Marginalia cat, one day I want to be famous for painting cats who look more like weird people, like all those shut-in monks used to paint.

Combining some photos with some doodlin' to diagram some things I was saying about Tamatoa's design from Moana. (Mostly how I wanted his distribution of treasure to be uneven and chunkier.)

Also what kind of vape is that? I mean the only kind I know is the e-cig kind and is that like the gold-standard bong for vapers orrrr...? So cute though.

I am not entirely sure how ears with fabric patches on them and hair can grow directly out of what appears to be a bare skull.

I am making graphics for an iPhone game. The client's budget wasn't large enough for color, so I'm giving him linework he can color on his own.

Also, is there ever going to be a new thread or should we peition the mods to rename this one Daily Drawings and Doodles 2017 + a tiny bit of 2016?

At the moment it's sorta obvious from the fineness of detail that the demon was about the same size as the skullbunny before it was made much smaller. This could be fixed by adding some fine detailed lines to the bunnyboy to bring it up to the detail level of the demon, or by redrawing the demon with a thicker line width to match the bunny.

I swear I'll stop doing marginalia cats at some point. Not today, though.

okay I'm just gonna throw this list of stuff at you, tldr really if you want to 'develop' this more I think you should start over because several of the issues are from very basic composition and anatomy problems that no amount of polishing up in photoshop is gonna fix but anyways;
what crayon said, in addition to the detail being way different the demon chick is getting chopped off the page and also what is that grey smoke stuff that looks like it was made with the free transform tool it doesn't fit in at all especially since there is no grey in the rest of the image. Her chest and stomach are too small for her legs and head size, and that profile view of her legs is totally flat looking, also her right leg looks like a second left leg that is facing towards the viewer??? I am pretty sure i mentioned that when you originally posted that picture, too, it still very much applies now

The rabbit/skeleton/scarecrow thing's ribcage is way too small, it's like the same size as his hand when it should be about the size of the entire sillhouette of the overalls minus an inch or two at the bottom. His left hand and forearm are really big and on his head the back of his skull is too small and his jaw and other facial features are too big (like on top of just really not looking accurate to a real skull very much). And same as what gmc said the hair and stitched ears and tail just feel tacked on and nonsensical, three's a way to render them that could make it look like it made sense i guess but even if you did I think it's still a really awkward feeling design that I don't understand. And again with the totally in profile composition for him that makes it look totally flat, if you stuck his back leg forward a bit and rotated his torso (the way you would when you're stretching one arm out) so there was some overlap and depth with his pose it would be better but still kinda lacking.

Hi drawing thread, the something awful best dog invitational has started and we need to win!

I feel that real strongly.

As creative convention we are obviously best at creating poo poo. Obviously.

So draw the best dog using whatever you are most amazing at, and post it in that thread by 3 March. Great will be your glory!

Also if someone wants to make a 2017 drawing thread I'll close and goldmine this one!
