i used to use a RAT7 and for as ugly and weird as they look it was comfortable as gently caress but now replaced because its laser was finnicky as poo poo.

mx300 was my go to in my quake days and was one of the first optical mice that didnt suck.  Now you can get this badboy and its basically same thing.  Think they're like $20 Satellit3 posted:symmetric mice are best. logi bad. still have my diamondback from 10 years ago (lomarf) Interesting yours lasted that long, the rubber parts on mine started corroding almost immediately. Used this for a bit when it first came out and I think they had discontinued the mx300 by that point. The software and drivers were so bad I'll never not think that razer is a poo poo company because of it.

ya the RAT7 has a dual laser setup, one for X one for Y, and the Y one frequently freaks out. this happens to everybody the RAT9 doesnt have the issue and there may be some other new version(s) that also dont have the issue. these mice are comfortable as gently caress even if they look like ridiculous gamer garbage

though from what i heard the rat9 had massive battery life issues so it made it even worse than a freaking out wired mouse
