I feel like Josh Hart is this year's guy who is very good at everything, but inexplicably slips to the second round because of minor imperfections and size issues

am I the only one who thinks that with those bizarre mechanics, Ball's 3pt shot is fools gold when it comes to the NBA level? it's just so loving weird.

MourningView posted:I dunno it's hosed up but if it works I guess it works. His percentages weren't that great in high school but his crazy rear end dad had he and his brothers taking pull-ups from like practically half court so who the hell knows. He's skilled enough that he still has a lot of value even if it drops off a bit. e: LaVar named them like pokemon evolutions (Lonzo, LiAngelo, LaMelo), so I'm going to take this as canon. straight up brolic fucked around with this message at 03:46 on Jan 4, 2017 |

Fultz and Monk is ideal, but unlikely. I think Philly finishes better than the Suns, Heat, and Nets tbh

The Knicks need to draft Markkanen and a lovely & gritty eastern European in the second so that there are more members of bench windsprint crew

The odds of the 6ers picking 4th and 10th seems highest imo. They need another year of tanking but are better than the teams that are actively doing so for one season only, which seems to be the core flaw with multi-year tank plans

Lonzo Ball will be a good litmus test for hosed up jumper theory, insane dad theory (cross sport), the look (doesn't have it), the name tool (has it)

Saw Jarrett Allen in person today. Really unique prospect but he needs to get so so much stronger to do anything in the league.

Fultz

# ¿ Jan 15, 2017 03:54 |

Someone irl was aggressively arguing with me that Ball was better than Fultz because Fultz's TS% was 56.5% which is "below average for an NBA of prospect" (which is not true).

DeimosRising posted:How can he shoot 42% on 4 and half threes a game, but only shoot 67% from the line? That's either really weird or really troubling inasmuch as it makes me wonder if that long range shooting is repeatable. Rick posted:Josh Hart plays really big for 6'5". He has decent form on his shot. He looked good in the break and when he attacked the basket, and had a couple crisp passes but he seemed to absolutely refuse to orchestrate the offense or be involved in any two man basketball which is a problem if he ends up somewhere that wants to play him at point. Strong on the ball defense was interesting to see in a college guard. straight up brolic fucked around with this message at 15:18 on Jan 19, 2017 |

He's incredibly skilled and does a little bit of everything, but he's kind of stiff and looks vaguely like a smaller Brook lopez.

Although I'm not sure about Smith's speed. He's being successfully pressed at the college level which I always think is a red flag
