I'm watching UCLA right now and Lonzo Ball doesn't look like that great of a shooter. He's a great finisher but his 3 point shot and outside shooting don't look good. T.J. Leaf also threw down a tombstone dunk on some poor kid.

I interned for an AAU coach and by and large they're all assholes. Every single one. They only teach kids fast break and press, and even then you barely see any passing. It's no better on the girls side either. In this day and age most kids are in some sort of competitive program by the time they're 10 and AAU is quite common among 12 year olds. That means by the time they get to high school, almost half of their life has been spent shooting jumpers from their chest, or not jumping at all on their jumpers. I had to do a tear down job on most of the girls I coached this year just to reteach them their shot at the age of 14.

Anthony Bennett's rookie campaign was one of the most insulting pieces of poo poo a player getting paid by a NBA team ever put together. He just didn't even try. At all. He was somehow out of shape. He wouldn't go for rebounds, wouldn't set picks, wouldn't try driving with the ball at all. Apparently he had a bad shoulder injury in college that's still bothering him but everyone says the same poo poo no matter where he goes: he just doesn't give a gently caress.

Yeah seriously I mentioned before that I thought his shooting form was horrible and was told that it was just one game, but he can't do anything against Oregon. He's a good rebounder but so far his only offensive game seems to be from two janky rear end 3's that somehow went in.
