The Patriots will certainly be trading their pick with someone to move down

I may have thought JJ Watt went high too but's it's been too long.

I was angry enough about taking Watt over Robert Quinn that I left the bar I was watching the draft at

Except maybe the Bears when Alshon walks, there are no teams ahead of the Titans who would take Williams either

Yeah, stay away from Mike Williamses.

Good thing the Texans didn't draft another Carr, right?

Calm down, it was a joke. Leave the worrying about the draft to people who still have a team

Doltos posted:

Well Watson almost cost Clemson that game. That and the refs.

Either way Mike Williams is going to fool us all again and make us draft a Mike Williams. He's so loving good.

That was some truly special clock management but why is Watson to blame? Dabo could have called timeout

Every loving quarterback to come out of the first 2 rounds of that draft is worlds better than anything the Texans have trotted out at QB since. And yes, that includes Johnny Manziel, somehow.

Fitzpatrick as a Texan was way better than JFF but otherwise yes

Also Hoyer had a really solid season that was overshadowed by his playoff meltdown

Diva Cupcake posted:

Deshaun Watson has declined his Senior Bowl invite. This could indicate that he thinks he's a lock for a high 1st pick but Teddy also skipped and he fell to the end of the round.

I'd be cool with this happening to Watson too

I still maintain that Osweiler needed more years experience before starting. When he was drafted out of ASU he needed to go back for another year before going to the pros to sit for a year. Instead he left early, sat for a year, started, then got into FA. So by my calendar last year should have been his first full starting year after purely absorbing experience from the bench and practice. I think he performed pretty lovely by 'rookie' standards but still has promise. I mean he can zing some passes. Watson just screams undersized Geno Smith to me.

Osweiler has zero touch on the ball, rockets it at 100 mph on checkdowns, and can't read a defense either presnap or during the play. I watched him all season, I've seen him miss open receivers because he can't progress through his reads, panics and throws to someone in double coverage. He's accurate when he has a completely clean pocket with space to step into his throw and I mean a ton of space, but the second he's on the move or throwing without stepping into it there's no way of knowing where the ball is headed

Also he's 6'7 and has his passes batted down fairly regularly lol

The problem is you have to start it so far ahead of the draft that the first round can look ridiculous by the time the real draft rolls around
