The Jets roster is so barren they could take almost any position and be ok with it. If they take an interior defensive lineman like Jonathon Allen the booing from Philly will rival anything on JetsBlunders.flv.

I would like Jamal Adams though.

There is like no chance Adams is going to be there though.
Hooker, Howard, trade-down, Fournette. It's going to be tough to screw this up.

Just keep me away from Lattimore and his hammys.

I don't want Fournette. I'm fine with Hooker or Howard or trade down. Just no QB's.
How are you feeling about McCaffrey, iin the event of a trade down?

David Shaw puts the Jets as one of the ideal fits for him. I guess he coached with John Morton when he was with Oakland.

What is the expected offer for Tennessee to swap firsts with Cleveland?
I would assume #12 and their lower 2nd rounder, #52. The Titans and Jets both willing to trade down so the lowest bidder probably wins. I dont see Cleveland giving up #33.

Tony Pauline rumors...

Sources tell me the Philadelphia Eagles are infatuated with skill prospect Christian McCaffrey but realize they’ll likely have to trade up ahead of the Carolina Panthers in order to draft him.

The sixth pick, presently owned by the New York Jets, is in play, but the question is do the Eagles have enough ammunition to move up?

Not for nothing but I dont trust any Jets source to know what a Pro Bowl level TE is.

quote:

Jets source tells Sal Paolantonio that Alabama TE O.J. Howard looks like "an immediate Pro Bowl level player." Howard, Jets coaches believe, can make an impact in the offense of new offensive coordinator John Morton, who came from the Saints, who featured former TE Jimmy Graham. Howard could be the pick at 6, Paolantonio reports.

I prefer Hooker but I wouldn't be upset at this pick.

I'm fine with Howard. The last Pro Bowl TE the Jets drafted was Mickey Shuler in 78.

Holy poo poo how can one team be so bad at drafting offensive players?

QB - Jeff Blake doesn't count so Ken O'Brien, 1983
WR - Santana Moss, 2001
RB - Freeman McNeil, 1981
TE - Mickey Shuler, 1978

Not considering trade up's, Dalvin Cook &/or Joe Mixon only have to make it past Green Bay, Seattle (maybe), Jets, and Cincinnati (maybe) to land in Philly.

But there's some good corners there, toooooo.
Lots of smoke out there about Cook to the Jets. Their RB coach ran his Pro Day, potential BPA, etc...

I think someone will have to trade up for him.

I’m told both the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Jets have quarterback Davis Webb in their sights and each team is trying to move up to secure his services. It’s a good possibility any of the teams selecting from picks 33-to-37 would be amiable to trading down for the right compensation.

Mitchell & Webb was pretty funny, so I'm optimistic for Hackenberg & Webb
Trading up in the 2nd two consecutive years to draft QBs that belong in the 4-5th seems like A+ plan Macc.
