The protests are are people venting, but more importantly its a chance to network and organize for the future. If one is happening near you, you should make an appearance.

Remember that protests will, increasingly over the next few years, be met with violence. Do not let this stop you. People will die, but more people will die if you do not protest.

This is going to be so true for BLM. That's not going to stop BLM protests but they are gonna need every warm body that will help them :smith:

If I wanted to join a local protest, how would I find one? Living in the SF Bay Area - the news says there are ongoing protests, but I can't find any sort of organizers or planning, which seems like it'd make them hard to join unless they march past my door.

This poo poo can be really hard when you get started. I don't know anything about your area, but you can look for both actual protests on facebook or organization that regularly hosts or attends protests

Apropos, you in Mobile? Last time I went to Socialist Alternative a few years ago... I don't know, felt like some college antics. Maybe I'm rushing to judgement.

I'm a Chicago member, and they are quite excellent here. My impression is that the quality of the branch can vary alot tho.

Kudos to anyone being a socialist in the south :patriot:
