Herr Tog is right. MMO's are supposed to be boring collections of icons that you click while waiting for the cooldowns to run out on other icons. A real MMO should not entertain the player in any way. That means:

1) No physics, changeable environments, or similar
2) Attack animations should be minimal and not necessarily related to the specific icon you're clicking
3) Long, tedious raids that take more people, higher levels of technical knowledge, and more sophisticated cooperation than the game's actual development required.
4) In-game purchases of hats, monacles, and similar that each cost as much as the retail price of far superior games.

In this Creepypasta adventure, we play a spooky unfinished game where the audio doesn't play, barely-textured buildings are left unfinished, models are animated specifically to clip into themselves, and the game mysteriously deletes itself once you die. The only surviving video of the game is this one, and at the end Olivia has a webcam pointed at her and she's crying.

Adventure Quest 3D definitely made me sick in the first video, but then again, I feel that War Rock made me far more miserable.

Why are there people on those servers playing that game? Why? How can they possibly justify it to themselves?

It's an unfinished WoW clone released 8 months too early and 13 years too late! Have those players completed the literally thousands of more worthwhile games and now they need something to do with their time?

Hehe, it's normally me that remembers stuff like that but I think Darcy is the more respectful rapper and all that.
When I played it, I was expecting Adventure Quest....but....3D? Like, I don't think that would've been hard to accomplish, but instead we got:

That. It's insane what lows of video games people find themselves playing. I can understand the appeal of something like ToonTown or Pirate 101 or hell, even Combat Arms, but stuff like AQ3D drives me up the wall.

RO2 was an ironic suggestion (even though it seems fine for a free game) FFXIV is legit one of Darcy and I's favorite games, we've been spending months trying to get through the entire main story of it and it won't be long before we're back to playing it regularly. I also thought I should tell you that I convinced Darcy to play Warframe with me and she's in love with it.

Even though we poke fun at her, we think Minfilia's voice acting is good in that it definitely stands out, it's distinct, I remember her by the way she talks and the way she holds herself through the acting, which is probably a compliment to the actress.

I don't even remember the voice acting in FFXIV anymore. I switched it to Japanese once I found out you could.

I have a list of grievances I need to file with the Monetarists, and by file, I mean 'carve into them with a rusty knife'. Several of them are 'made Tataru cry'. :mad:

And I'm glad to hear that Darcy embraced space ninja madness. :getin:

I'd definitely say the voice actors in FFXIV do a pretty good job of managing to be distinct and memorable, and Warframe's do a decent job as well.

MMOrons - HELL WEEK

Starting Friday, August 25th I'm going to be uploading one video every day for 13 days. So technically it's Hell 2 Weeks, but Hell Week is catchier. What would warrant such an upload schedule, you may ask? Darcy and I have recorded ourselves playing through every single game by Artix Entertainment, with the rule that we have to play for at least 30 minutes per game. So join us as we find the highs and lows of flash and mobile games this Friday!

Catching up on Hell Week, watched the first three. DragonFable is definitely the best of the three, but you two managed to miss the point massively with MechQuest. :allears:

You do indeed get multiple weapon slots, so you can rotate between weapons while some are on cooldown.

Also that captain in the tutorial had a 'shop' option halfway down his list. :v:

So no, you weren't expected to use just the one crappy starter weapon.
