Went to an xmas party last night and stopped off at Costco to pick up a veggie platter. It was only $10 so we picked up this neat little board of assorted nuts and dried fruit.

Someone else brought a Costco pumpkin pie and Tiramisu as well.

It was a good party.

I think it's pretty good.

It's just not as good as the hot dog + soda (with refill) or italian sausage.

Yeah. New York here, and my costco is the same deal. There's an attached store that's completely independent from costco.The prices are better than normal but they're still not what you'd expect. Plus you can't get the giant jug of kirkland vodka.

New York liquor laws are weird, but I can't complain because they could be significantly worse.

Costco frozen pizza is actually very good. It's doubly good if you add more cheese.

I also really like their Shepard's pie for a not very healthy but quick and tasty dinner.

Retail makes everybody a little racist and there's no avoiding it, but part of working retail is learning to suppress it, not act on it, and be a good little drone who mindlessly follows procedure and eschews any scrap of individuality and free will.

The only time I've ever waited for a sample was when they were giving out crackers with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Even then, I stood way off to the side. it was loving worth it.

IIRC the whole scare was started by some guy with a Dr. in front of his name (in...psychology). His proof was that, when I eat Chinese takeout I get a headache. Chinese takeout has MSG. Therefore, MSG is bad for you.
