Went to an xmas party last night and stopped off at Costco to pick up a veggie platter. It was only $10 so we picked up this neat little board of assorted nuts and dried fruit. Someone else brought a Costco pumpkin pie and Tiramisu as well. It was a good party.

I think it's pretty good. It's just not as good as the hot dog + soda (with refill) or italian sausage. I haven't had a chicken bake in a while either I have fond memories of those as a teenager.

Can I buy Costco Churros in Bulk? If no, how bad would it be if I got someone with no shame to order 50 Churros from the food court? I want them for a party.

Bucnasti posted:Call ahead, give them at least an hour lead time and it shouldn't be a problem. I ordered 50 hot dogs for a work party once, they gave me a big box of piping hot individually wrapped hot dogs and a stack of drink cups. woah, I hadn't even considered that as a serious option. I gotta swing by the Costco photo center tomorrow to pick up the invites (because of course we're getting the invites from Costco) I'll ask them while I'm there. We're catering tacos for the party. The place we're getting the tacos from can cater churros too, but let's be real for a second, Costco churros are the best.

Picked up my party invites. 50 for $16 and they look fantastic. Maybe if I'm lucky I can convince my fiance to do the wedding invites through Costco too. Then I bought a hot dog.

Sticky posted:In New York liquor had to be sold in a store that only sells liquor/wine. So it's in a separate store attached to the side. It's got great prices but not a ton of variety or high end stuff. Yeah. New York here, and my costco is the same deal. There's an attached store that's completely independent from costco. The prices are better than normal but they're still not what you'd expect. Plus you can't get the giant jug of kirkland vodka. New York liquor laws are weird, but I can't complain because they could be significantly worse.

As someone who worked retail for years, and even at a Costco competitor: Retail makes everybody a little racist and there's no avoiding it, but part of working retail is learning to suppress it, not act on it, and be a good little drone who mindlessly follows procedure and eschews any scrap of individuality and free will. e: also "you people" is incredibly rude, regardless of race.

Doubly so since I’ve discovered Smart and Final offer most of what I buy at nearly the same prices. Yeah it makes going to Costco on weekends a nightmare. I'm all for the samples but why are the best free samples always in the areas of the store with the worst congestion issues? Then you have idiots who stand around waiting for more to come out of the oven and block all available walk ways. The only time I've ever waited for a sample was when they were giving out crackers with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Even then, I stood way off to the side. it was loving worth it.
