I think this is a fair way to describe the situation. Most of the individual things he does aren't really bad on the surface, but there's an undercurrent of "...and then she'll love me!" that really pushes it way over the line. She continues to not love him and he pushes harder and harder, convinced that "maiden ♥ knight" and with no idea that this isn't how it works and that he's dealing with a (mostly) human being, until she has to straight up scream in his face to go away so he'll take the hint. He's definitely not in the right, but his motivations fit right into the muddy grey areas this game loves to splash around in.

 08. (M) My Dinner with Marlene The spotted wight's animation is absolutely delightful. Minor spoilers for Hearts of Stone: It's very strongly implied in these files that the person who cursed Marlene was Master Mirror, the primary antagonist in HoS. This kind of needlessly harsh retribution is right in his wheelhouse too. Unfortunately, work has been kicking my rear end lately and I've been having trouble keeping up, so I'm gonna slow down updates for a bit. Part 9 will be up Thursday, and 10 next Monday, then we'll see from there. Fletcher has a bonus video in the works, but I'm not sure when that'll be done. Hah. In one of the videos they mention a wine 'Est Est' - that's a genuine type of wine, so named because when some high-up Catholic minister had a servant check an acquired wine cellar, he asked him to list the wines either 'Est' or 'Est no' for it is or it is not, respectively. The servant encountered a wine so good, he wrote 'Est Est', and a wine legend was born. According to what I heard, anyway. God I love wine. Edit: Also, when Regis is first encountered in the book, the way the Mandrake distillate is described makes it sound... really cool. Something I would love to try. About the only major negative I can level against it is that it's SO sprawling that by the time it started tying things together I was having trouble remembering some of the early events. The main plot and most of the side content are consistently clever and engaging in a way most open world games don't even attempt. It's probably my favorite game of 2015. Some weird choices with those witcher schools. Manticore and griffin are slightly more impressive than a mere wolf. Bears are pretty tough too but a cat? A house cat? How much use is a witcher who naps for most of the day and purrs if you scratch him behind the ears?

You keep misgendering poor Roach. To be fair, her gender is not really stated at a lot of points since Geralt doesn't talk a lot about her. But Roach is distinctively female. By the way, There is a really important side quest somewhere, which I missed on my playthrough. I hope you'll find it.

This actually comes up either in this video or the next one, as it's referenced in the quest to set up your vineyard (which we did again at a later date because I forgot to hit record the first time like an idiot). In a similar "we hosed up" moment: how the hell did I not realize until I got there in my own game literally Lara Croft beat us to the Professor's tomb She dodged the first panther trap via a strangely narrow crevice she squeezed through, the second by climbing loose bricks and mortarwork to just pass the trap, and then she fired a rope arrow down to start one of her eternally-burning campfires and go off into her challenge tomb. It's literally reboot Lara. (no, I'm not spoiling the DLC for myself, I wanted to unlock the mutations to gently caress around with in the main game)
