The monotony of it doesn't bother me, it's that I'm having issues soloing mobs 1v1 as a TKA and have to use Center of Being and many self-heals to get through any 1vX situations, whereas the same quest in NGE is just hit button kill dude in two shots. Don't you find that the xp levels wildly outlevel you for the questline? I did it as TKM and whilst it was a bit of a slog to begin with, once you get a decent weapon you start slicing through it to the point where the only time I was getting xp was on quest hand ins. It made grinding medical xp a nightmare.

CU mixed with NGE QoL makes for an almost modern feeling game and is kind of fun to play. The CU actually made the game a lot better in live imo, but it was done so ham-fistedly and with no warning from SOE that a lot of people didn't bother to stick around and find out. A lot of the rabbling came from established players who were pissed that their server best armor and resources were turned to poo poo overnight. I'd also wager a lot of players conflate the NGE and CU in their memories because the CU was only around for a few months and it was a long rear end time ago.

I think it's probably a good idea to avoid burning out at such an early stage too. Once the Mustafar and Jedi unlocks go live I'll be less hesitant to put some hours into it.

Then it's worth doing the Hero of Tattooine questline which is from memory is easily soloable post-CU and worth it for the self-rez artifact. Beyond that the Jedi grind is far more accessible than it is in a lot of pre-CU environments and pretty regimented in terms of 'do x to get y.' Resto also has Jump to Lightspeed implementation so you can work your way through the various pilot factions and squadrons. It's repetitive and grindy but if you're playing SWG and enjoying it that should be right up your street

The Disney trilogy was basically the cinematic NGE though; watch us take this enormous runny poo poo all over that thing you loved whilst telling you to enjoy the new shiny that is vaguely reminiscent of that thing you once liked.
