To talk about "figureheads" of racist culture would be misleading. It's a collective ideology. A lot of it can be summed up in the sentence You see how they are. Identifying "markers" within an ethnic group that make them not you, and worse than you, and then taking those markers as the essence of the group. Treyvon was black, therefore he must have been on drugs. His girlfriend is black, therefore she must be a welfare mother.

Conservative agitprop is absolutely taken seriously. What, you don't read internet comment feeds?

I think it's safe to say that none of us were around then to hear what people were saying and if someone wants to make a :smugbert:

claim about what was being said they can maybe provide a source or otherwise come back to the here and now.
