The best 2 Bond movies, in totality are the 2 Roger Moore Bond movies that feature Sheriff J.W. Pepper (Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun), so no, For Your Eyes Only could be at best, the 3rd best James Bond movies staring Roger Moore, but it isn't because Moonraker exists.

Spy Who Loved Me is basically Thunderball, but it still rules. That seabase is so iconic and is topped only by Blofeld's volcano base.

It's the least like a Moore Bond film, and that's why I like it. It has very little wackiness, few (any?) gadgets, a fairly grounded plot and Moore straight up murders a guy by kicking his car off a cliff and doesn't even make a funny quip about it. It also has a car chase with a Critroen 2cv

Live And Let Die has the single greatest exchange in any Bond film of them all. "The name's B-" "NAMES IS FOR TOMBSTONES, BABY. Y'ALL TAKE THIS HONKY OUTSIDE AND WASTE HIM." Like, no other Bond film is as vividly insane, cringe-worthy and entertaining as this thing, it's absolutely incredible. That frickin' exploding Yaphet Kotto dummy, holy poo poo.

The Spy Who Loved Me is the best Moore Bond, followed by Moonraker. For Your Eyes Only isn't bad, it's just mediocre like Octopussy and The Man with the Golden Gun. Live and Let Die and A View to a Kill are straight-up garbage movies, despite great credit songs.

I watched Moonraker a couple months back and apparently I had misremembered the scene with Jaws meeting his girlfriend. Like, in my mind he smiles revealing his metal teeth and she smiles revealing big braces and that's the joke; they both have mouths of metal. Except that doesn't happen because she does not have braces. Anyway I googled it and apparently there's tons of people out there that remember that and/or believe that there is an alternate universe version of the movie that exists where she does have braces and have gone to insane lengths examining every shot that woman is in frame-by-frame to find proof of it and it's a massive rabbit hole of crazy people. edit: for the record I don't believe I am from an alternate universe I just think I have a dumb brain and they missed an easy joke. second edit: also the best Moore is The Spy Who Loved Me

Yeah it is. It's really really boring outside of two things. Grace Jones and Walken. And even they aren't in the movie enough. Spectre is up there too. Wrenched garbage movie.

Diamonds Are Forever is my favorite Bond movie but not because it's a good Bond movie. I just like how loving weird it is and those creepos Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint plus you get a Bond girl named Plenty O'Toole which is just lol

Never Say Never Again is pretty good for a Bond film. Old Sean Connery is better in that one than Roger Moore in any of his movies.

The Lazenby one is the worst because Lazenby is so bad they stuffed him into a big ski suit and dubbed him over for half the movie, plus like half of it is boring ski chases. It's too bad because Telly Sevalas is a good Bond villain.
