Incidentally, there was apparently a sneak peak of the first few eps of LWA in Tokyo and they're rehashing the movies before moving on to new stuff.

Oh good. I hated this in the Boruto manga (I also hate the Boruto manga) but I haven't actually watched the LWA movies yet so I thought I was going to have to pass on this until I had. Unless of course they handle the recaps badly and the movies end up being the better format I guess.

The first LWA should be mandatory viewing, it's freaking incredible.

Also, it's only a half hour long.

The second one's really good too.

So far winter's looking pretty scanty for me, at least as far as new shows go. I'm only following five shows, unless something turns out to be a breakout hit. Just gives me more space to fill with stuff from my backlog. I've started a handful of older shows that I should really get around to finishing.

Also, both the LWA OVAs are on Netflix, if you're in the UK.

both ovas are less than an hour so watching them together takes like an hour and ten minutes

If this season is sparse that might not be so bad. Will give me a chance to catch up on Flip Flap and Yuri.

Kiznaiver wasn't ridiculous enough, it really petered out at the end.

i think the ridiculousness was the weakest part of kiznaiver, it spent more time on it than it did on actual character work and it deflated the ending pretty badly

You cheated not only the game, but yourself.
But most of all, you cheated BABA

I stopped watching Kiznaiver after the scene on the beach and felt like that was a perfect ending to the show - it left the conspiracy stuff unresolved, but whatever, it felt good and I didn't want to move on from there.

yeah i really don't think you missed anything, honoka's arc is absolutely fantastic and while agata does get some character work none of it is anywhere near as good and the way they handle honoka after it is pretty frustrating, mainly in the context of her backstory and the parts about it they completely drop, not even purely to do with her sexuality but specifically the earlier parallels with her relationship with yuta and the relationship between the main character and her boyfriend in her manga

I quite liked Kiznavier when I watched it, but I have to struggle to remember those plot points now, after only a few months. It's not the most memorable anime of 2016, that's for sure.

The OP, on the other hand, was awesome, and still pops into my head from time to time.

Season looks pretty good.

Watching for sure:
Kobayashi Maid Dragon
LWA
Gabriel Dropout (since it's the Sabagebu/YuruYuri director and studio)

Probably also going to watch:
Youjo Senki, going by the two manga chapters that got translated.

Ah, I missed the hem on the pants and just thought she was naturally that color.

Edit: I hope they adapt the first chapter and people get real weird about it.

The PV for Gabriel DropOut if it hasn't been posted already. Been spoiling myself with the manga and it's quite amusing. The PV seems to show some sequences extended like the initial introduction and the fight with the dog

It's probably closer to Sansha Sanyo except that it's four girls all messing with each other, with one more teased in particular and one less teased because she's the Tsukkomi. They just so happen to be angels and demons, but otherwise they're just goofballs.

yuasa adapting another novel by the tatami galaxy author

'A black haired girl is walking around the streets of Kyoto, from the night scene of Pontocho to a second-hand book fair in Shimogamo, then off to a college fair. The main character that has a romantic feeling for her secretly follows her around and looks for the opportunities to run into her in a manner that seems like a coincidence. Unfortunately for him, she is not interested in love yet so she does not notice his feelings. What waits these two characters are crazy incidents caused by individuals such as a person who introduces himself as a Japanese mythical creature Tengu, the god of second-hand book or the money lender in a three story vehicle.'
