Youjo Senki, Little Witch Academia, and Kobayashi's Dragon Maid are my sure picks. I might watch Gabriel DropOut because I'm hoping it has the excessive Catholic guilt that Umaru-chan was missing.Cialis Railman posted:Looking forward to catching up on what I missed during Fall season and whittling down my queue a little. Yeah, I tell myself that every season, too...

Julias posted:New PV for maidragon. I might end up giving this show a shot, based on the PV alone. I'm still a little surprised by the fact that they gave Kobayashi pink hair. She just doesn't seem like a pink hair character. Still, I like what I'm seeing.

I don't know what version of Youjo Senki some of you must have watched, because the version I saw had some of the greatest faces I've ever seen. Aoi Yuuki is doing a good job with Tanya's voice, too. She sounds like a cruel toddler, which is perfect for the character.

If you're a fan of Roombas in anime and you've already watched Miss Monochrome, then you might like Schoolgirl Strikers. Beyond that, it's pretty plain and standard with nothing that makes it stand out. Watch Miss Monochrome.

Demi-chan has made the best first impression out of all the anime this season. I went into it blind and not expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised. https://my.mixtape.moe/anbyaj.webm I was looking forward to Maidragon the most this season, since I'm a big fan of the manga, so I definitely went into it with a bias, but even with that in mind it had a pretty good first episode. I'm looking forward to Kanna showing up. https://my.mixtape.moe/wimelq.webm Gabriel Dropout looks like WataMote and Disgaea had a child, which means I'm probably going to enjoy it. https://my.mixtape.moe/tdenpz.webm Urara Meirochou looks like your standard 'cute' anime, and I mean that as a good thing. Kemono Friends might have worked better as a half-length show instead of a full one. At least I got over the animation faster than I thought I would. Idol Jihen is only going to be worth watching if there's a scene where they prevent World War III by singing to Putin and Trump. I still want to give Akiba's Trip and ACCA a shot, especially ACCA, because aside from Youju Senki, it looks like I'm going to be watching mostly cute SoL shows this season.

Personally, when Tanya talks, I hear Evil Tooru from A-Channel, but that's just a statement about how good a seiyuu Aoi Yuuki is. I'm a big fan of Aoi Yuuki.

Too many Dragon Maid threads. I'm overwhelmed by confusion, so I'm just posting these here. https://my.mixtape.moe/rdcvvr.webm This show is great.

Just a reminder, Nobunaga no Shinobi is still running, and they have a new opening. https://my.mixtape.moe/ktwivf.webm Darth Walrus posted:Speaking of anime Nazis (and of blowing them up with giant beam cannons), someone high up at MAL seems to think they're being unfairly persecuted. Urara Meirochou is a cute show that's facing some really stiff competition with shows like Demi-chan and Maidragon, but it's definitely worth a look.

It just feels like Kemono Friend's unexpected popularity is an ironic joke that got out of control. https://twitter.com/damenano104/status/832245115158622209

brainwrinkle posted:Hey everyone - ACCA is the best show this season. Please check it out if you like bureaucracy, cakes, food, regionalism, low-key political drama, excellent foreshadowing, old men, young men, older women, princes voiced by Mamoru Miyano, landlords, people discovering toast, New Years parties, cigarette smokers, high taxes on cigarettes, or people who go to work only to eat snacks. Thank you. Finally, an anime character I can relate to!

In no particular order: Little Witch Academia: This is the one I was looking forward to the most, and so far I was right to do so. Maidragon: I went into this with high expectations because I was a fan of the manga, and it ended up exceeding them. It still has the spirit of the gag manga it was based off of while nicely adding the 'happy family' element. Tanya: A nice deviation from all of the sweet shows I've been watching this season. Tanya's a little bastard and it's a real blast watching her act like one. Demi-chan: Like Maidragon, this show is engaging and heartwarming with characters that I enjoy. Nobunaga no Shinobi: Still good. I've fallen behind on Gabriel Dropout & dropped Urara. Both of them are alright, but they're competing for time with shows I'm really enjoying. Based on what people here are saying, I might pick up ACCA. There's a little voice in my head telling me to watch Kemono Friends, and it's getting louder.
