This game looks so fun to play but it has so many baffling and frustrating and nonsensical design choices that it's keeping me the hell away.

The only time I ever saw a glitched chest was the first time I actually managed to successfully unlock the Abbey. I was running around to gather treasure and money after defeating the floor's boss, and had to make a painful choice between the glitch chest, or my first run of the Abbey. I chose poorly, but at least now I'm much better at not taking hits, after having so much practice getting from the Oubliette to the altar.
