Maybe the R. R. doesn't take keys because he's trying to find the shop first?

Got this game recently because of the LP and the first time I died was because I misjudged the distance across a pit and fell to my death. In a secret room no less. And is it possible for enemies you fight in the past to be jammed?

I'd like to see Scruffy open brown chests more often in future runs. They don't have to be part of a challenge, but I think it'd be cool to see more terrible guns, and "terrible" guns too.
