I dance to the sweet tune of your failure so I'm never gonna stop fucking with you.

Continue to get confused and frustrated with me as I dance to your anger.

As I expect nothing more from ya you stupid runt!

Little V

Little V has been covering soundtracks from various media though mostly game related in various forms of genres (Metal, Acoustic, Djent) with either vocals or just plain instrumental. He does amazing guitar riffs and has helped some known artists such as Mick Gordon with various things (e.g. Cinder's Theme of Killer Instinct). He also makes his own songs and tracks for his Bandcamp page and does the odd Let's Play.

Steve Ambarian does an amazing jazzy cover of Vampire Killer on a ukulele that manages to be both a very cool arrangement of Vampire Killer that suits the instrument, and avoids a lot of the lovely "ukulele cover" cliches.

Kou Ogata is a Japanese dude who loves to do multi-instrument mashups with those split-video things. He's a fan of using flutes/whistles and Irish instruments. He does some original work and Touhou songs, but has a good deal of nice video game music.

Chrono Cross - Time's Scar
Final Fantasy XI - Gustaberg
Chrono Trigger - Corridors of Time

Fantastic idea for a thread. Here's some that I've loved over the years.

Mazedude has a lot of great work on OC Remix. The Wily Malfunction and Space Station of the Ancients being my personal favorites of his stuff.

Danimal Cannon does a fantastic version of Fear my Lowering Coefficient of Friction from Blaster Master.

AmIEvil has a great rendition of Death on the Snowfield (Terra) from FFVI.

There was a cool Touhou remix group called Ruxia that put out a few great albums. Main artists were Czk, Gray, and sometimes Kanabun/KPDRecords. They still do stuff as Disorder Circulation.
Yuuyu_ssry/Yuuna Sasara has also done some cool Touhou and Undertale stuff.

I mean, if you start talking about Touhou music, you're going down a rabbit hole that dwarfs the entirety of the rest of the game music remix scene by itself. Like, eight or so years ago I downloaded a megatorrent of touhou remixes that had over THIRTY THOUSAND REMIXES in it. And it's only grown since then.

I'll do a post about touhou music later, there's a lot to cover(hah), but there's an absolute shitload of amazing remixes out there.

SquidPhysics does more than just video games, but my favorite of his has to be the Banjo Kazooie theme because his buddy does an amazing Banjo.

That cover made me remember the extremely talented and curiously named PoopPoopFart who did some great Banjo Kazooie stuff and more! I didn't think he was still uploading, but he just recently did Guardia Millennial Fair, one of my favorites.

And on the flip side, while staying in the land of the unexpected:
A collection of jazz covers of Undertale by Norihiko Hibino (Metal Gear Solid 2-4, Bayonetta 2) and AYAKI (Etrian Odyssey)

There's a Japanese label called Salvation By Faith Records that puts out a lot of high-energy techno remixes of mostly Nintendo stuff with some Klonoa and Undertale thrown in. One of their major contributors goes by "hapi⇒" who released a handful of medleys.

Retro Remix Revue is two albums of old school remixes in a variety of arrangements and styles from jazz to rock. They're all done beautifully and some of the arrangements are infectiously good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qM3on9H8oE

Armcannon do prog rock covers of classic VGM and some TV themes. They're able to flit between genres and styles but always with a base of hard rock. (They also do the best cover of Ghostbusters.)

Necroing this thread to post a Gabocarina cover that I requested and he fulfilled, very well, too. He uses an ocarina in it(hence his username I suppose), which gives it a very comfortable sound to it. It's essentially a no-nonsense cover, which with something as emotionally-charged as Smiles and Tears, is just fine with me, since I can't imagine solos or added touches could really improve it much.
